CRYSTAL PALACE V MANCHESTER UNITED

12pm It’s a blockbuster Super Sunday from the Premier League on Betdaq Betting Exchange! With all the European commitments, we have a hectic Sunday ahead – no doubt all the focus will be on Chelsea v Arsenal in the prime time TV slot later, but we kick off the day with a fascinating game as Crystal Palace host Manchester United. This was due to be down for the early Saturday fixture, but it had to be moved here with Palace playing on Thursday – we don’t usually have a noon start on Sunday. The rollercoaster of drama with Manchester United this season with a loss at home to Everton on Monday night – Everton got a man sent off early and Untied traded 1.25 before Everton quickly took the lead, and United just couldn’t find the net. They finished the game with an xG of 2.65 but it was a classic David Moyes side grinding out a result. It seems a pattern is forming that this United system really struggles when sides sit back and defend. It’s a sign of the times that United are going through that Crystal Palace come into this game as the clear favourites.

Crystal Palace are trading 2.32 with Manchester United 3.25 and the draw is 3.7 at the time of writing. Palace are having a fantastic season – they come into this weekend sitting in the top five and obviously they have European football to enjoy too. After the FA Cup win; it’s been the best period Palace fans can remember! That being said, the 2.32 feels a little short here. Obviously supporting Manchester United in the market has to come with a wealth warning these days. However, United have the third best attacking figure in the Premier League this season – Palace are only sitting in mid-table with an average xG created of 1.37. There’s only 0.03 between the sides on defensive figures too; however I fully accept the fact that United have been sloppy at the back and there are still far too many mistakes being made. I’m going to keep stakes small with all that in mind, but United are playing good football this season and the 2.32 is too short on Palace here in my opinion.

The Striker Says:
Two points lay (liability) Crystal Palace to beat Manchester United at 2.32 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

CHELSEA V ARSENAL

4.30pm We finish Super Sunday with the highlight of the weekend from the Premier League! Chelsea host Arsenal in a top of table London Derby – this is an absolutely massive game for Chelsea. You have to feel that if they are going to challenge for the title, then they simply must win this game with home advantage. You could have called Chelsea a little lacklustre at the start of the season, especially around the time of that loss to Manchester United, but they have bounced back well – basically they’ve remained consistent when the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool have been dropping points. They’ve found themselves sitting in second, but to be taken seriously in the title race they have to lay down a marker here. Arsenal have been top class this season – they come into this weekend with the best attacking figure and the best defensive figure in the Premier League. Their average xG conceded of 0.81 is exceptionally impressive in a league as competitive as the Premier League. For example, that’s even better than Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga – whom they beat midweek in the Champions League. Chelsea also had a cracking midweek result beating Barcelona, and you have to say this match is perfectly set up.

While Arsenal have the best attacking figure in the Premier League, Chelsea are sitting in second place – only 0.02 behind them on xG. You can’t argue Chelsea don’t deserve their place in the table, because they also have the second best defensive figure. We should have a high quality game here. Arsenal come into the game as the favourites at 2.3 with Chelsea 3.6 and the draw is 3.4 at the time of writing. I have to say, I expected a more open market and the 2.3 feels a little short on Arsenal in my opinion. I know they have been immense this season, but as I highlighted above there’s actually very little between the sides. Chelsea are playing some good football, and with home advantage I do feel they will make this a very difficult evening for Arsenal. At least more difficult than odds of 2.3 suggest anyway! Once again, I’m not going crazy with the stakes here but from a value point of view, I’m happy to lay Arsenal.
