CARABAO CUP: The Striker previews ARSENAL v LIVERPOOL with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
ARSENAL V LIVERPOOL
7.45pm We’re one step away from Wembley now as we have the second leg of this Carabao Cup Semi-Final on Thursday night on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. It comes amid plenty of drama with the Premier League accepting Arsenal’s request to have the North London Derby postponed at the weekend. That does make you question whether or not this fixture goes ahead, and if it does what kind of side are Arsenal going to name. They continue to loan out players however, which is a farce really given the situation.
I feel the backlash over the game being postponed at the weekend will lead to changes from how the Premier League makes decision on these Covid19 situations, but at the moment it remains that Arsenal had just one case and they should be able to field a team here. Obviously the situation makes betting tricky because we don’t know what kind of team we’re going to see from Arsenal, and that presents a big trading opportunity around the team news. It will be fastest fingers first there!
To add spice to the situation, Liverpool are without some of their stars too with the African Cup of Nations on at the moment. They recorded an impressive win at home to Brentford at the weekend in the Premier League, but Brentford are a much better side with home advantage. I said prior to the African Cup of Nations that I would be happy to keep stakes low on Liverpool games to get an idea of their performance level, but that Brentford game was actually their first Premier League game since the 2-2 draw with Chelsea.
There’s a huge amount of questions heading into this fixture about both sides. You’d have to be very disappointed with Liverpool not being able to win the first leg at Anfield, especially with Arsenal being down to ten men after 25ish minutes. That was a lot of time to have an advantage, and Liverpool couldn’t take it. I do feel that this is an excellent chance for Arsenal to get to Wembley – Liverpool are without their key players of course, but then with the North London Derby getting postponed and the news saying Arsenal players are “being assessed” day-by-day you do worry what kind of team they will name here.
I have to say though, when it all comes down to the odds I still feel Arsenal are the value here at 3.55. Liverpool look too short to me at 2.1 – Arsenal have being playing reasonably good football lately and they played very well here recently against Manchester City – they lost very late in the game but they managed to hold their own against City when usually they just roll over. This is definitely a game for small stakes given the situation, but Arsenal are the value for me at 3.55.
The Striker Says:
One point win Arsenal to beat Liverpool at 3.55 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
