FULHAM V BRIGHTON

7.30pm We finish the midweek round of Premier League fixtures on BETDAQ Betting Exchange with two fixtures on Thursday night. We have two exceptionally competitive betting heats, and it should be an interesting night ahead! We kick things off with Fulham hosting Brighton; Fulham come into the game as the favourites at 2.48 with Brighton 3.05 and the draw is 3.7 at the time of writing. Both sides will be reasonably pleased with their start to the season – Brighton especially so as they sat in the Top Four after the weekend fixtures. That is partly due to Manchester City, Spurs and Manchester United dropping so many points though. Brighton threw away a golden opportunity for three points when drawing 1-1 at home to Southampton last time out. Considering they sit in the Top Four coming into the midweek round of fixtures, they have thrown away a lot of points at home. They’ve failed to beat Ipswich, Wolves and Southampton at home this season – all three sat in the relegation zone at the start of the week! I don’t see being away from home as a negative for Brighton here to be honest, but the market knows that being at home is a big edge for Fulham.

There’s a big difference in performance levels for Fulham at home and away – they might have dropped some silly points at home too – but their average xG created is impressive at 1.88 compared to just 1.36 away. They are marginally conceding more than they are creating away from home too. Overall, Fulham actually have a better attacking figure than Brighton this season so I can understand why Fulham come into the game as the favourites. They don’t jump off the page as good value in my opinion at 2.48 however. I’m happy to stay out of the match odds market here because I feel Over 2.5 goals looks cracking value here at 1.67. Both Teams To Score is an interesting bet at 1.56 too, Brighton like to play an open and attacking game, and Fulham do create a lot at home. I feel both sides will gel together well here and we should get a very end-to-end and entertaining game. I’m happy with a confident bet on Overs.

BOURNEMOUTH V TOTTENHAM

8.15pm We finish the midweek round of fixtures with Bournemouth host Spurs. No doubt Ange Postecoglou will be peppered with style of play questions again by the UK media – he looks royally fed up of those questions, surely by now the journalists know he’s not going to change his style of play. Spurs dropped points again at the weekend with a 1-1 draw at home to Fulham which is obviously a disappointing result, but when you look at the data the signs for Spurs are very positive. They have an average xG created of 1.81 this season, which is the second best attacking figure in the Premier League. Better than Liverpool and Arsenal for example – obviously the results aren’t coming, but you can see the success in the data that Spurs are creating a huge amount. The reality with Spurs is that something “Spursy” as they say is never far away – but for the time being you can’t knock their way of playing. The results and points will come if they stay on this path – I suppose the interesting question is how long will Postecoglou be given with such media pressure. That seems silly to think of when Spurs are playing so well, but football is a results business and Spurs have been known to be trigger happy!

Bournemouth have been playing some very impressive football this season too – they have the sixth best attacking figure this season and they’ve recorded some nice wins. Bournemouth have played a very open and attacking game this season, they’ve actually been one of the most entertaining sides to watch to be honest. We have another open betting heat here, and Spurs come into the game as the favourites. Spurs are trading 2.54 with Bournemouth 2.78 and the draw is 4.0 at the time of writing. This game screams goals in my opinion – we have two good attacking sides that both make mistakes at the back too. The market is expecting goals with Over 2.5 goals at 1.46 with Both Teams To Score two ticks shorter at 1.44. I couldn’t put anyone off either bet, but I do feel we’ll see plenty of action here and I’m happy to be on Overs at 1.46 which still offers value in my opinion.

Three points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.46 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
