NEWCASTLE V TOTTENHAM

8.15pm It’s a cracking week of football on Betdaq Betting Exchange! We have a full midweek fixture list from the Premier League, and we start on Tuesday night with three fixtures. The highlight fixture is Newcastle hosting Spurs in my opinion, especially with the current troubles of Spurs. Another loss at the weekend at home to Fulham, along with an impressive for Newcastle away to Everton that mean the sides come into this game sitting in mid-table on the same amount of points.

The next few weeks will be very interesting from a Spurs point of view in my opinion. I felt the alarm bells were starting to ring before the game at the weekend, the horrendous mistake for the second Fulham goal was classic Spurs, and now surely Thomas Frank must be starting to feel the heat. Obviously Spurs had a very positive start to the season results wise, but their under-lining numbers are shocking. That has to be a major worry – I mean they aren’t far off relegation standard of play.

They have an average xG created of 1.18 which is the joint-fourth worst attacking figure in the Premier League. Only Wolves, Sunderland and Burnley have created less this season – obviously Sunderland have over-performed but Wolves and Burnley looked nailed on to go down to the Championship. For all the drama about Ange Postecoglou, the performance levels were miles better than what they have been under Frank. Who wonders will the Spurs get on his back soon.

It’s no surprise to see Newcastle come into the game as the odds on favourites with home advantage. Newcastle are trading 1.75 with Tottenham 4.9 and the draw is 4.3 at the time of writing. While the two sides have the same amount of points as I said above, Newcastle are playing much better football. They have been struggling to convert their chances – but maybe the 4-1 win at the weekend over Everton could have given them the confidence boost they needed in front of goal. At the moment, looking at Spurs they are a team you really want to take on – Newcastle tick a lot of boxes here and I’m happy with a confident bet at 1.75. Spurs are there for the taking.

The Striker Says:
Three points win Newcastle to beat Tottenham at 1.75 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
