6pm The Premier League fixtures just keep on coming and we have another busy midweek fixture list to get stuck into on with BETDAQ Betting Exchange ! We start the action with West Ham hosting West Brom after both sides managed to win at the weekend. The win for West Brom over Wolves was massive for them looking at the bottom of the table. They are now just one point behind Fulham and five points behind Burnley and safety. The negative for them is they have played one more game than Fulham and Burnley. The 3-2 win over Wolves was a welcome change from losing 4-0 to Arsenal and 5-0 to Leeds. Their xG was good too, they created 2.58.
Although that was a positive for West Brom, we must remember how poor Wolves have been this season. I don’t think we can claim West Brom have turned things around yet – they still conceded two goals and an xG of 2.28. West Ham have been excellent this season and they have created a lot going forward. They may have only scored once against Burnley and Everton, but they completely bossed the fixtures and if they play anywhere near to that level today than they will win. The 1.66 is worth taking on the home win.

- After losing their first Premier League home meeting with West Brom in September 2002, West Ham are unbeaten in their last nine against the Baggies (W3 D6).
- West Brom lost their last Premier League meeting with West Ham, 1-2 in January 2018. They’ve not lost consecutive league meetings with the Hammers since the 2005-06 campaign when they were relegated.
- The first three Premier League meetings between West Ham and West Brom in London saw just three goals scored (1x 0-0 draw, 1x 1-0 win each). Since then, there has been 25 goals in seven top-flight meetings between the sides at Upton Park/London Stadium, with both sides finding the net each time.
- West Ham have won both of their league meetings with promoted sides this season, beating Fulham 1-0 and Leeds 2-1. They last beat all three promoted clubs in the same campaign in 2016-17 (Burnley, Hull and Middlesbrough).
- West Ham are unbeaten in their last eight Premier League home games played on Tuesdays (W6 D2), since a run of four straight defeats between December 2006 (1-2 vs Portsmouth) and March 2010 (1-3 vs Wolves).
- West Bromwich Albion have won none of their 29 Premier League games played on a Tuesday, drawing 13 and losing 16. It’s the most games played on a specific day of the week without ever winning by a side in the competition’s history.
- West Ham are looking to keep four consecutive Premier League clean sheets for the first time since February 2014, when they were managed by current West Brom manager Sam Allardyce.
- West Brom scored as many goals in their 3-2 win at Wolves last time out as they had in their previous five away league games combined. However, the Baggies haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last 10 Premier League games on the road.
- West Brom boss Sam Allardyce has won 50% of his 22 Premier League games against sides he’s formerly managed in the competition (W11 D4 L7). However, he’s lost all three such games against West Ham since leaving the Hammers in 2015.
- Semi Ajayi has scored three goals in his last five appearances in all competitions for West Bromwich Albion, as many as he had in his previous 49.
LEICESTER V CHELSEA
8.15pm A fascinating fixture. Chelsea got back to winning ways at the weekend with a 1-0 win over Fulham. That was badly needed as they have really dropped off the pace at the top of the table. They start the midweek fixtures in 7th, six points behind Leicester and suddenly they have gone from title contenders to possibly struggling for a top four finish. As we seen with Man United last season however, that can be corrected with a winning run but that’s easier said than done. I think this fixture will give us a fantastic idea of where these two are. Can Leicester keep up the pace towards the top of the table, or can Chelsea battle their way back into the top four mix? I can’t wait.
In fairness to Chelsea, they didn’t perform badly against Arsenal and Aston Villa – indeed, they were very unlucky to lose to Arsenal with the game finished 2.73 to 2.34 on xG to Chelsea. It was a similar story with the Wolves loss, they finished 1.61 to 0.63 on xG. Leicester start the game two points behind the leaders Man United, they are definitely going under the radar but it’s because they haven’t done anything too flashy since beating Man City early in the season. I feel this will be a very close game, and it’s hard to look past the draw for me at the odds. 3.6 is definitely the value call for me. Leicester have been very tough to beat, so Chelsea are a little short for me at 2.52 but I don’t see Leicester doing enough to win the game.
