PREMIER LEAGUE: The Striker previews ARSENAL v TOTTENHAM with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
ARSENAL V TOTTENHAM
8pm The midweek Premier League action continues on Wednesday night with the highlight of the week on BETDAQ Betting Exchange! We have a massive North London Derby as Arsenal host Spurs but both sides under pressure at the moment. It really hasn’t been a good week or so for Arsenal; more dropped points in the Premier League was followed by a 2-0 loss here against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup first leg Semi-Final and then they crashed out of the FA Cup here at the weekend too. You have all the usual over-reactions of “what has Arteta achieved?” etc but in fairness to Arteta has has bumped into an incredible Manchester City side when he had Arsenal at their peak, and now he has Arne Slot’s Liverpool!
You get the feeling that unrest is growing in the fanbase though; that’s just what happens these days, right or wrong. On the flip side, Ange Postecoglou has had an excellent week; a win over Liverpool in their Carabao Cup first leg Semi-Final was followed by a win in the FA Cup at the weekend. In fairness, anything bar a smooth win over Tamworth would have been a huge shock. Spurs have really struggled to get results in the Premier League this season – they have the joint-third best attacking figure but they’ve pretty much been a mid-table side this season. As always, something “Spursy” is never far away – there’s always a mistake or two waiting at the back!
From that point of view, it’s not a surprise to see Arsenal as the odds on favourites. But the price might raise a few eyebrows – Arsenal are trading 1.47 with Tottenham 7.4 and the draw is 5.4 at the time of writing. You can quite easily pick holes in either side here – especially over the last few weeks. Spurs have had the better momentum this week. Spurs actually have a better attacking figure compared to Arsenal, but Arsenal have been much better at the back. On balance, I do feel that the 1.47 is far too short on Arsenal here – I feel we’ll see a closer game than those odds suggest.
From a value point of view, I couldn’t put anyone off a small lay on Arsenal at the odds. However, this game screams goals – Over 2.5 goals is trading one tick bigger than the Arsenal win, and that’s a much better bet in my opinion. Another option is Both Teams To Score which is trading at a very attractive 1.69. I know Arsenal have the best defensive figure in the Premier League, but we usually see fireworks in the North London Derby and Spurs have been creating a lot this season. I think we’ll see goals here, and BTTS is a confident bet at the odds.
The Striker Says:
Three points win Both Teams To Score at 1.69 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
