PREMIER LEAGUE: The Striker previews EVERTON v LIVERPOOL with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
EVERTON V LIVERPOOL
7.30pm All eyes might be on the Champions League this week on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE, but we have a massive clash from the Premier League too. It’s Merseyside Derby time as Everton host Liverpool – the gulf in class has definitely grown between these two sides over the last few years, but Everton certainly get more results than the betting suggests. They have managed to win or draw five of the last ten meetings. Considering Liverpool have been coming into the Derby as red-hot favourites, that isn’t a great stat for favourite backers!
Liverpool are trading 1.46 with Everton 8.6 and the draw is 5.0 at the time of writing. Liverpool were involved in the football shock of the week as they lost 1-0 in the FA Cup to Plymouth Argyle – that was definitely the highlight of the season for Plymouth fans given they sit bottom of the Championship! It was just one of those days for Liverpool – Arne Slot opted to rest a few players and he paid the price; it happens. Liverpool are still in an excellent place in the Premier League, Champions League and Carabao Cup.
The performance levels are obviously night-and-day between the sides, but Everton are heading in the right direction. David Moyes is back in charge, having come full circle since leaving for Manchester United – what a rollercoaster it’s been for everyone involved really! Everton were competing for Europa League spots when Moyes was last there, and he’s built up momentum and confidence quite quickly with three straight wins. Very important wins too considering that they were slipping towards getting involved in a relegation battle. Everton have the fourth worst attacking figure in the Premier League, but you’d expect that to improve now things have changed.
Liverpool have had a few blips this season, but it’s been hard to fault them. A win here would give them a nine point advantage over Arsenal at the top of the table – it’s hard to see Arsenal even closing the current six point gap before kick off! Liverpool have the best attacking figure in the Premier League this season, and Arne Slot has seemingly fixed the issues at the back they had under Klopp too. It’s hard to see past a Liverpool win, but the 1.46 doesn’t make much appeal from a value point of view – as I said above, Everton get much more results in the Merseyside Derby compared to the odds.
With Everton playing better football under David Moyes and three wins in a row under their belt, I can see them getting on the score sheet at some stage. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.75 with Both Teams To Score trading 1.98 – I couldn’t put anyone off either bet, but I feel there is marginally more value in the Both Teams To Score option at 1.98.
The Striker Says:
Two points win Both Teams To Score at 1.98 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
