LIVERPOOL V WEST HAM

8pm We have the fourth Quarter-Final on BETDAQ Betting Exchange on Wednesday night as Liverpool host West Ham. After Manchester City exited the competition in the Third Round, Liverpool and Arsenal would have been in pole position. Arsenal exited at the next stage, and at the start of the Quarter-Finals Liverpool were decent favourites to lift the trophy from here. They are also clear favourites to win the Europa League, so it could be an excellent season in the Cups for Liverpool – they are bang in the Premier League title race too!

Standing in their way here are West Ham, but most football fans will fully expect a comfortable Liverpool win here. Liverpool come into the game as the red-hot favourites. They are trading 1.46 at the time of writing which is the shortest price of any side at the Quarter-Final stage. If you fancy a surprise, West Ham are trading 7.2 and the draw is 5.5. Liverpool were actually a shorter price to beat Manchester United in the Premier League here at the weekend, and they had to settle for a 0-0 there. The atmosphere was very poor, that was highlighted by Sky Sports too, and one wonders will we see a reaction from the fans here.

Liverpool played well at the weekend, the goal just didn’t come. They finished the game with an xG of 2.74 after all! Liverpool have been excellent going forward all season; their average xG created is 2.04 which is the best attacking figure in the Premier League. At home this increases to 2.52 – obviously they still have a few issues at the back but they are only one point off Arsenal at the top of the league. West Ham managed a win over Wolves at the weekend, and they are sitting just inside the top half of the table. Their xG figures do raise red flags though. Their average xG conceded is 1.7 which is the third worst defensive figure in the Premier League.

Bringing a figure like that to Anfield always spells trouble, they are coming up against the best side in the Premier League going forward. What has saved West Ham this season is that they are massive over-performing in front of goal. Their average xG created is 1.3 and at the moment their actual goal average is 1.71. That’s a huge difference, and eventually they’ll stop scoring from odd angles. That’s just probability. They will get chances from Liverpool here however; we know Liverpool like to play an open game.

While Klopp has been known to make a huge amount of changes in this competition, I think he will take this fixture seriously. It’s an excellent chances for Liverpool to lift a trophy; the path is clear really because there isn’t another side in the competition that Liverpool wouldn’t be trading odds on to beat over 90 minutes. There’s a huge gulf in class between the sides performance level wise, and the 1.46 on Liverpool is big enough to back. As I said, they were shorter to beat United here at the weekend – that didn’t work out, but the 1.46 feels great value here. I feel it’s worth a confident Max Bet.

The Striker Says:
Five points win Liverpool to beat West Ham at 1.46 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
