WEDNESDAY EFL CUP: The Striker previews Wednesday’s EFL Cup game between MANCHESTER UNITED V WEST HAM with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
MANCHESTER UNITED V WEST HAM
7.45pm The third round of the Carabao Cup continues on Wednesday night with all eyes on Manchester United v West Ham on BETDAQ Betting Exchange as that is the live Sky Sports fixture. Isn’t it funny how often the fixture list throws up games so close together? It’s totally random, but yet it happens a couple of times a year – it will happen in the FA Cup later in the season too! These sides played at the weekend in the Premier League. West Ham had home advantage then, and we had a very entertaining game with Manchester United winning right at the death.
Although we can do some analysis on the game from the weekend, I fully expect to see a lot of changes here. West Ham have given away a few points already in the Premier League this season with draws against Crystal Palace and Southampton before the loss to United, and they also have to focus on the Europa League this season too. I wouldn’t be surprised to see David Moyes make some changes. You’d have to expect Manchester United to make changes and we’re very unlikely to see Ronaldo in action here.
Manchester United have turned into the Ronaldo show since he came back to the club, he scored again on Sunday and it’s hard to get away from him being the main man when he keeps scoring goals. United hit their first bump in the road last week when losing to Young Boys in the Champions League. They created an xG of 0 after getting a man sent off, and while we have a lot of excitement around Ronaldo coming back, we can’t forget that United still have a lot of work to do. It was good to see them grind out another tricky away win at the weekend and they are definitely making progress.
With a lot of changes expected here, this is definitely a game for small stakes. United look a little short to me here 1.55 – I am expecting West Ham to make some changes too, but they are less likely to make as many as United. Besides, West Ham have been pretty impressive lately and I know they were disappointing against Crystal Palace and Southampton, but they bounced back from that with a good win in the Europa League. I expect a pretty close game here, and United are a good value lay at the odds. United had to work very hard to win on Sunday, and I expect another very close game – 1.55 is too short.
The Striker Says:
One point lay (liability) Manchester United to beat West Ham at 1.55 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
