TOTTENHAM V MANCHESTER CITY

8.15pm We have a hectic Wednesday in the Carabao Cup on BETDAQ Betting Exchange with six fixtures! Although Spurs hosting Manchester City is the clear highlight of the night, we actually have a lot a fixture that could have been the Sky Sports feature game! Brighton host Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal are in action along with Newcastle playing Chelsea again after Chelsea won in the Premier League at the weekend. This is definitely the most interesting game though, and we have an open market too.

Manchester City are the favourites at 2.6 with Tottenham 2.74 and the draw is trading 3.85 at the time of writing. City had a routine win over Southampton at the weekend to go top of the Premier League table with Arsenal and Liverpool having a dramatic 2-2 draw. Spurs were odds on away to Crystal Palace but lost 1-0 – another massive setback for Ange Postecoglou who has been a frustrated man in recent weeks. Spurs went into that game with the second best attacking figure in the Premier League – only Manchester City have been creating more chances.

However, the bitterly disappointing thing about the loss to Palace was Spurs just didn’t create much – their xG was very low, and Palace had struggled heading into that game. They actually hadn’t won a Premier League game! We should have a good game here though – we do have the best two attacking sides in the Premier League, but as we all know something “Spursy” is never far away! Not only do Spurs and City have the best two attacking figures, they also have the top two best defensive figures. City are clearly best – the only side with an average xG conceded of under 1.0 in the Premier League this season.

Spurs just haven’t been getting the job done, and Ange Postecoglou must be tearing his hair out. He gave multiple interviews after the International Break – following the loss from 2-0 up against Brighton – really doubling down on his views on football. The media are definitely going to keep the pressure on now. It will be interesting to see what kind of starting XI’s we get here – I do feel the market has priced in some changes to the City starting XI. Spurs have opted to rest players at times in Cup competitions this season, and they have been big drifters for some Cup games but have got the job done. I’m very keen to keep stakes small here without seeing the starting XI’s but the 2.6 on City here is too big to ignore. They have been close to perfect this season, and it’s not often we get City at these prices!

The Striker Says:
One point win Manchester City to beat Tottenham at 2.6 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
