ENGLAND V SLOVAKIA

5pm The Last 16 of Euro 2024 continues on Sunday and we have two huge favourites on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE as England meet Slovakia and Spain take on Georgia. As things stand heading into the Last 16, England and Spain are the top two in the market. The big debate is whether or not England should actually be tournament favourites because they have been so poor on the pitch. They have one of the worst attacking figures and their games have been the most boring of the whole tournament. The major positive for England is the draw – things have really worked out in their favour. The general feeling was all roads led to a Semi-Final clash with France but now they are on the other side of the draw after finish second in their Group. Although France did finish second, it was mainly due to not finishing their chances – Mbappe actually finished the Group stage with a higher xG created than the whole England side! That’s probably a reflection on just how poor England have been going forward, especially considering that they did have a relatively easy Group too. Now they’ve been handed an “easy” Last 16 draw on paper, however you could argue no game is easy given how limited England have been going forward.

England have a wealth of talent available to them. Their squad is one of the most exciting there is. I do feel when you have Jude Bellingham – the man who lead Real Madrid to a La Liga title and Champions League this season, Harry Kane – the top goal scorer in the Bundesliga this season and Phil Foden – one of the best Premier League players this season, and none of them are performing you have to ask is the manager delivering a system that works. None of them become bad players overnight! At the moment, things just aren’t working. England come into the game as the red-hot favourites at 1.44 with Slovakia 10.5 and the draw is 4.5 at the time of writing. Slovakia finished third in Group E where everyone finished with four points – they produced he shock of the Group stage when beating Belgium first time out but they really benefitted from Lukaku having a poor game in front of goal. Slovakia have a pretty average attacking figure, and we landed a nice bet on Under 2.5 goals in England’s last game against Slovenia. Unders is trading 1.78 here and while that’s shorter than the 1.99 in England’s last game, I do feel it still offers value. The way England are playing at the moment, Under 2.5 goals looks by far the best option. It’s hard to make the case that 1.44 is huge value on them winning when they have created so little!

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.78 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

SPAIN V GEORGIA

8pm Next we have Spain taking on Georgia, and we have the shortest price of the Last 16 here. The market is very confident on a win for Spain here – they are trading as short as 1.24 at the time of writing with Georgia 17.5 and the draw is 7.2. Georgia fans have been living the dream even just getting to Euro 2024 – we saw some incredible scenes as they scored their first goal against Turkey. That was topped with a 2-0 win over Portugal in their final Group game to get here – that was incredible given they went into that game with just one point from their two games and the fact that they had conceded one of the highest xG figures in the tournament! Obviously they benefited from the fact that Portugal were certain of top spot heading into that game, but Ronaldo started and they did seem to be taking it seriously. In fairness to Portugal, they finished the game with an xG of over 2.0 and conceded less than 1.0 – it was just one of those games! Georgia won’t care about the facts and stats though – getting to the knockout stage is the stuff of dreams for them. They topped a C Group so got into the playoffs to qualify that way; they finished fourth in their qualifying Group with only eight points a whopping 13 behind Spain.

Obviously these two sides will know each other well after being in the same qualifying Group. Spain absolutely thrashed Georgia 7-1 away from home and then beat them 3-1 when they had home advantage on the final matchday. There really is a huge gulf in class between the sides here, and Spain haven’t put a foot wrong in the tournament yet. They were the only side to win all three of their Group games, and they should easily get through here. The only thing worth mentioning for 1.24 backers is that we were all thinking the same thing before Morocco knocked Spain out of the World Cup! I’m not going to tip a 1.24 shot because there’s no prizes for that, but it’s definitely a nice option for any Multiple over the weekend. Georgia have conceded so many chances at Euro 2024, I feel Spain can cover the handicap here – they are trading 1.71 -1.5 goals which looks cracking value in my opinion and it’s my most confident bet on the night!

The Ultra Says:
Four points win Spain -1.5 goals to beat Georgia at 1.71 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
