EURO 2020 SATURDAY: Euro 2020 moves onto the knockout phase on Saturday. Our European football tipster The Ultra previews the games between WALES v DENMARK and ITALY v AUSTRIA both with recommended BETDAQ 0% COMMISSION bets.

WALES V DENMARK
5pm We kick off the Last 16 of Euro 2020 on Saturday and we have an excellent four days ahead! We finished the Group stage with a fantastic ROI of 23%, and hopefully we can finish the tournament strongly too. We have some incredible matches from now on, and all of them will be 0% Commission on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. We start the knockouts with Wales taking on Denmark after both sides finished second in Group A and B. I have to say I was delighted to see Denmark get through after what happened to them in their opening game, and they did it in style too with a 4-1 over Russia – in fairness Russia are a very limited side, but it was nice to land another Max Bet – hopefully more of them to come! Wales were totally outclassed by Italy in Group A but they were impressive against Turkey. My worry would be Turkey were only one of two sides who lost all their games (the other was North Macedonia) and Wales were very lucky to draw with Switzerland.
The thing about Wales is though they have wonderful team spirit, and they’ll give it their all here. That being said, football isn’t about how hard to try and how much you care. Denmark have the class to beat Wales here, and they are worth backing at 1.91. Denmark may have only won once in the Group stages, but they actually played very well. They were very unlucky with the Finland game and what happened Christian Eriksen, in hindsight they now say they shouldn’t have played the second half. They were unlucky to lose against Belgium too, as xG had it 1.99 to 0.82 to Denmark and then they hammered Russia. They have been creating enough chances to beat this Wales side who look fairly limited. Their only impressive performance was against Turkey and as I said above, they are poor. They looked pretty toothless against Switzerland and their goal came from nowhere against the run of play. Denmark aren’t a Max Bet, but they are very much worth backing at the odds.

ITALY V AUSTRIA
8pm Italy have been one of the most impressive sides so far at Euro 2020, however you could say that they haven’t been fully tested. On paper, they were entitled have to beaten Turkey and Wales, but they were at their most impressive in their toughest test so far against Switzerland. Their xG figures have been very consistent, they created 2.03 against Turkey, 2.5 against Switzerland and 2.26 against Wales. Austria won two of their three games in the Groups but they were hammered by Netherlands. They were definitely the better team against Ukraine but we shouldn’t read too much into the North Macedonia win. Austria like to focus on their strong defence, but it’s hard to see them stopping this excellent Italy side. I can see Italy having a lot of the ball here and trying to break Austria down who will likely sit back and defend.
Looking at the xG figures, it’s hard to see Austria stopping Italy. They have been so impressive going forward, and although Austria were quietly very impressive in qualifying – they aren’t on the same level as a side like Italy. For example Austria topped their Nations League Group in Group B, but Italy topped theirs in Group A. Austria started World Cup Qualifying pretty slowly too, and although they did well in the Group, I feel a fair reflection of their standing was the Netherlands game. Italy look good value here at 1.51 – they will have to work hard against a well drilled Austria side, but they are about five ticks too big for me and worth backing. Denmark and Italy would make a nice double on the Sportsbook today too.
