POLAND V NETHERLANDS

2pm Euro 2024 continues on Sunday with another three cracking fixtures, and most of the focus on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE will be tournament favourites England starting their campaign! Before we get there though, we have two interesting fixtures to go through. We have three odds on favourites; will it be a winning treble for Sunday favourite backers!? We kick off the day with Poland clashing with the Netherlands in Group D. Netherlands must be sick of seeing France; they were placed in the same qualifying Group and now they are drawn together in Group D too! Netherlands finished four points behind France in that Group, but they were never in danger of not finishing in the top two. Poland, on the other hand, had a woeful qualifying campaign and come into the tournament in a pretty bad place despite coming through the playoffs. They were handed a Group with Albania, Czech Republic, Moldova and Faroe Islands – how they only managed to finish third with just three wins is anyone’s guess! They have been in decline for a while now though to be honest, and needed a penalty shoot-out to get past Wales in the playoffs too. With Lewandowski up front they should win more games, but they’ve been really struggling to create chances and score goals.

Netherlands come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.6 with Poland 6.8 and the draw is 4.3 at the time of writing. A few years ago, Netherlands were one of the most entertaining International teams out there. That definitely changed in the build-up to the World Cup though; they went into the World Cup with a very cagey mindset and created very little. A good example would be only winning by one goal twice against the Republic of Ireland in qualifying who have been so poor recently. With that being said, I feel Poland are a side to take on at this tournament so I couldn’t put anyone off the 1.6 on the Netherlands win. However, this game screams a lack of goals and chances – the Netherlands have been very cautious in their approach and as I said above, Poland don’t create a huge amount. Under 2.5 goals is trading 1.88 and that looks cracking value in my opinion. I wouldn’t be totally surprised to see a 0-0, but I do feel we’ll likely see Netherlands grind out a 1-0 win to start the day.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.88 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

SLOVENIA V DENMARK

5pm Next we move to Group C as Slovenia take on Denmark. England fans will be very interested in this fixture too, although their focus will be on dealing with Serbia later in the day. Most football fans will be expecting Denmark to give England the toughest test in Group C and finish second behind them; let’s see does that work out to be true! Denmark made it to the Semi-Final of Euro 2020 where they were beaten by England, they had a very strange tournament with the Christian Eriksen incident at the start then followed by some impressive football – at that stage every neutral fan was shouting for them too. Just like France and the Netherlands in Group D, these two sides were also in a qualifying Group together – they will know each other very well at this stage! They actually finished on the same amount of points too; both of them finished with 22 points, four ahead of Finland and Kazakhstan with Northern Ireland and San Marino the whipping boys in that Group. Denmark come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.79 with Slovenia 5.6 and the draw is 3.7 at the time of writing. There wasn’t much between the sides in qualifying, and we should have a close game here.

In the two meetings in qualifying, we finished with a 1-1 draw and then Denmark won 2-1 with home advantage. Denmark played some of the best counter-attacking football at Euro 2020, and that’s generally still their style of play. It will be interesting to see can they make the running against a side that will sit back, and their key man in midfield Christian Eriksen hasn’t had much game time this season with injury. Midfield is going to be the difference here in my opinion, because that is definitely a weak point for Slovenia. In the Outright market, they are one of the biggest three prices! Just getting here was a great achievement, it’s been 14 years since they were at a major tournament. I feel Slovenia will put XI men behind the ball here and while this might not be the most entertaining game to watch, Denmark can control the midfield area and take the lead eventually. I don’t see Slovenia offering much going forward so Under 2.5 goals might be a nice option, however the 1.79 on Denmark is too big to ignore in my opinion. They can get the job done.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Denmark to beat Slovenia at 1.79 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

SERBIA V ENGLAND

8pm We finish Sunday with tournament favourites England taking on Serbia! No doubt this game is going to provide all the talking points – England have drifted almost all week in the Outright market. When I wrote my Outright preview they were trading 4.3; as I write this preview they are now 5.0! They haven’t had a good build-up losing to Iceland in a friendly, and obviously some fans have been on Gareth Southgate’s back with squad selection. Mainly leaving out Jack Grealish, who hasn’t had a good season to be fair. To be honest; is there ever a time when a section of England fans aren’t on the managers back? Probably never! That being said, this is a do-or-die moment for Gareth Southgate as England manager – he has the most talented squad they’ve had for a very long time, and now he needs to find a system that works for everyone. England have also been handed a good draw – if things went according to market odds, we should see England into the Semi-Finals and from there let’s see what happens. Anything bar an opening win will obviously see a massive negative reaction, so there is plenty of pressure as England come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.49 with Serbia 8.2 and the draw is 4.7 at the time of writing.

England sailed through qualifying finishing top of the Group finishing six points ahead of Italy. They needed that after a disastrous Nations League where they got relegated from an A Group with Italy, Hungary and Germany without winning a game. Serbia topped their Nations League Group involving Norway, Slovenia and Sweden but that form isn’t worth much considering Norway and Sweden couldn’t qualify for this tournament. Serbia finished behind Hungary is a reasonably weak Group – they also had Montenegro, Lithuania and Bulgaria in it. They have a lot of attacking talent, but they aren’t good at the back and England can take full advantage of that. It will be interesting to see what kind of tactics Gareth Southgate goes it – he usually is quite cagey at major tournaments, but that has worked for England so far. I do feel the 1.49 on England is a little short, but I expect them to win. I think Serbia will make the game entertaining; they are decent going forward but leave gaps at the back. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.94 and that looks a nice option, however Both Teams To Score looks cracking value at 2.16 – I wouldn’t have an England clean sheet odds on here given Serbia’s talent up top.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Both Teams To Score at 2.16 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
