THE BUNDESLIGA: The Ultra previews Friday Night Football from the Bundesliga as Bayer Leverkusen host Eintracht Frankfurt with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
BAYER LEVERKUSEN V EINTRACHT FRANKFURT
7.30pm Domestic football returns on Betdaq Betting Exchange for Friday Night Football! We have a cracking fixture from the Bundesliga too as Bayer Leverkusen host Eintracht Frankfurt. It felt like the International Break came extremely early in the season, in the Bundesliga we only had two matchdays – we have another two International Breaks coming up quite quickly too for the next two months, and it’s hard to get a lot of momentum going domestically in my opinion. We had the same situation last season and I felt it took away from the domestic season, but sure there’s no sign of things changing with UEFA or FIFA any time soon!
Although we’ve only had two matchdays in the Bundesliga, Bayer Leverkusen have already been through a lot. They’ve sacked Erik ten Hag after starting with one point from two games, and then released a statement saying they should have done it sooner which is remarkable really. Apparently the situation was extremely toxic and he was arguing with everyone at the club – the reputation for ten Hag now is in the gutter after this more so than his spell at Manchester United. We all know United has been a graveyard for managers and players in recent years but in my opinion it will be harder for ten Hag to come back from this, especially after what the club have reported.
Obviously it’ll be fascinating to see the reaction of the players, as it is after every manager leaves. Leverkusen have solid the spine of their squad during the summer, and then with Xabi Alonso leaving for Real Madrid too it was always going to be a difficult summer for them. As I said in my preview of the Outright market, the door was wide open for Bayern Munich this season and dare I say we won’t even see a challenge for Bayern this season. Eintracht Frankfurt have started the season with two wins from two games too, so this should be a good test to see where Leverkusen are at the moment.
Bayer Leverkusen come into the game as the favourites at 2.4 with Eintracht Frankfurt 2.9 and the draw is 3.95 at the time of writing. I feel the best position here is to keep stakes limited given the situation with Leverkusen; one or two points is perfect here. How can we judge them from their opening two performances given everything that was going on behind the scenes, and now ten Hag is gone we could get a completely different performance level too. Frankfurt games have been very entertaining to start the season, and I’d be surprised if we didn’t see a very open game here. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.54 and Both Teams To Score is 1.49. I couldn’t put anyone off either bet, but I marginally prefer the Overs option at five ticks bigger.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.54 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
