BUNDESLIGA AND LA LIGA PREVIEW: The Ultra previews STUTTGART v UNION BERLIN and BARCELONA v MALLORCA both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
STUTTGART V UNION BERLIN
7.30pm We have a fascinating Friday night around Europe on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! It’s been a massive week with the Champions League second legs starting and the Europa League Last 16 kicking off, but Friday night football comes from our usual slot of one Bundesliga game and one La Liga game. We have two interesting markets too, and we kick off the evening in the Bundesliga with Stuttgart hosting Union Berlin. These two sides have effectively swapped places/experiences this season! Stuttgart sit in the top four while Union Berlin have been in a relegation battle – they are obviously too good to go down and in recent weeks they have moved away from the bottom three. They now have an eight point advantage, but that doesn’t mean that they have been playing average football. Their average xG created is only 1.16 which is the fifth worst attacking figure. They aren’t even taking those chances because they are scoring under one goal per game. I know they massively over-performed last season to finish in the top four, but the fall has been dramatic this season.
It’s been the opposite for Stuttgart; their rise has been just as dramatic! From the relegation playoff spot last season to Champions League football is quite the turnaround. They fully deserve their position in third too; their average xG created is 1.73 which is the fourth best attacking figure and they have an average xG conceded of only 1.20. Pu the figure together and they are the third best performing side in the Bundesliga. They have a nice cushion on Dortmund and RB Leipzig too. Stuttgart come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.54 with Union Berlin 7.1 and the draw is 4.7 at the time of writing. It’s hard to see past a home win here; there’s been a huge gulf in class between the sides this season. Union Berlin’s average xG created is only 1.06 away from home, and Stuttgart have an average xG created of over 2.0 at home this season too. I feel the 1.54 looks cracking value here, and we’re getting so much value it’s worth a Max Bet in my opinion.
The Ultra Says:
Five points win Stuttgart to beat Union Berlin at 1.54 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

BARCELONA V MALLORCA
8pm We move to La Liga to finish Friday night as Barcelona host Mallorca. It was a bad weekend for all of the top three in La Liga last weekend with Real Madrid, Girona and Barcelona all dropping points. Barcelona had a very difficult fixture away to Athletic Bilbao who have been rock solid at home this season. We landed a nice lay on Barcelona, and a draw was a fair result. They’ll be expected to bounce back to winning ways here against Mallorca who have been playing poor football this season. The home win is trading odds on at 1.49 with Mallorca 8.2 and the draw is 4.8 at the time of writing. The best way to describe Barcelona this season is sloppy; they have conceded far too many silly goals at the back and that has effectively put the gap between themselves and Real Madrid. There’s only a 0.03 difference between themselves and Real Madrid in their attacking xG figures. Mallorca have really poor this season, and I would suggest that they are lucky to start the matchday with an eight point advantage over the relegation zone. That’s a very nice cushion for them at this stage of the season; their performance levels have been very poor.
Mallorca’s average xG created is only 1.07 this season which is the fourth worst attacking figure in La Liga. They haven’t even been taking those chances because they are scoring less than a goal per game on average this season. You would fancy Both Teams Not To Score as an option here if Barcelona didn’t have so many errors at the back this season. What has put Mallorca away from the relegation zone is the fact that they have been strong at the back, and that’s reflected in the Barcelona price at 1.49. However, Mallorca have been conceding a decent amount of chances away from home and there’s a huge gulf in class between the sides when you look at the performance levels. I know Barcelona have a big game coming up in the Champions League but I still feel the 1.49 is too big to ignore here; they’ll have a decent gap to the Champions League game playing on a Friday night anyway. I’d have the home win closer to 1.4 than 1.5.
The Ultra Says:
Three points win Barcelona to beat Mallorca at 1.49 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
