AUGSBURG V BAYERN MUNICH

7.30pm The focus this week from Europe on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE was on Cup football, but we’re back to our usual Friday night football slot of one Bundesliga fixture and one from La Liga! We kick off the action in the Bundesliga with Augsburg hosting Bayern Munich; most football fans will be expecting a win for Bayern here given the gulf in class between the sides, and they come into the game as the odds on favourite as you would expect. Bayern are trading 1.46 with Augsburg 8.2 and the draw is 5.0 at the time of writing. Bayern got back to winning ways last weekend after going into the International Break dropping points in back-to-back games. A shock loss at home to Bochum was one of the biggest upsets of the season in Europe; Bayern were trading as short as 1.13 to win there. Unfortunately for Bayer Leverkusen, they lost as well meaning the gap is still six points at the moment – I just don’t see Leverkusen being able to bridge that gap but Bayern have a massive few weeks coming up. They have a huge Champions League Quarter-Final against Inter Milan and have to play Dortmund in between that tie too.

Augsburg are sitting comfortably in mid-table; they are unbeaten in their last eleven Bundesliga games which is a remarkable run looking at their performance levels. They have been trying to keep games as tight as possible, and it’s been paying off. From those eleven games, Over 2.5 goals has only collected twice – that’s definitely an interesting market here because the market generally always expects goals in Bayern games. Overs is trading odds on at 1.72 here too. Augsburg have been grinding out so many results they deserve a lot of credit for that, but their under-lining numbers are poor. They have the third worst attacking figure in the Bundesliga with an average xG created of just 1.29. That figure isn’t going to trouble Bayern who have the best defensive figure in Europe this season – their average xG conceded is only 0.82. I respect the fact that Augsburg have been getting a lot of results, and they might be able to frustrate Bayern here; I wouldn’t exactly be rushing to back Over 2.5 goals at odds on. With Bayern so good at the back and Augsburg struggling to create chances; I like Both Teams Not To Score at 1.98. Bayern can keep a clean sheet here on the way to winning.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Both Teams Not To Score at 1.98 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

RAYO VALLECANO V ESPANYOL

8pm As usual we more over to La Liga to finish Friday night football as Rayo Vallecano host Espanyol. This is a massive game for both sides for different reasons; Rayo Vallecano come into the weekend sitting in sixth place and they are still well in the mix for a European spot finish. While Espanyol are in the relegation battle; a draw last weekend against Atletico Madrid was a great result in that regard – plus a massive blow for Atletico Madrid’s title challenge. That result left Espanyol two points above the relegation zone – it looks like Valencia are finally moving away from danger now and with Real Valladolid nailed to the bottom – we’re going to have two clubs go down from Espanyol, Alaves, Leganes and Las Palmas. We’re at the stage of the season now when every game is massive for Espanyol – you have to give them massive credit because they have been grinding out a lot of results recently. They’ve only lost twice in their last 13 La Liga games – obviously a lot of draws in there – one of the wins was a total shock against Real Madrid too! Not many would have seen that coming!

It will be interesting to see can they stop Rayo Vallecano here; obviously they are flying high this season but they have been grinding out a lot of results – keeping their games as tight as possible. They have been getting away with things at the back too; Rayo Vallecano’s average xG conceded is 1.4 but their actual goals conceded average is only 1.07 – that’s a lot of points in the difference! Rayo Vallecano come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.82 with Espanyol 5.7 and the draw is 3.55 at the time of writing. That 1.82 does feels a little short on the home win, but Espanyol have some very poor under-lining numbers. They have the worst attacking figure and second-worst defensive figure in La Liga this season. It’s hard to support Espanyol, so I’m happy to stay out of the match odds market. This game screams a cagey affair without many chances; Espanyol don’t create much and Rayo Vallecano have been keeping their games very tight – Under 2.5 goals looks worth backing here at 1.61.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.61 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
