FRIDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews FREIBURG V WOLFSBURG and CADIZ V REAL VALLADOLID on Friday with recommended BETDAQ bets.
FREIBURG V WOLFSBURG
7.30pm Time is ticking down on the 2022/23 season, and we’re back to domestic action on Friday night with games from the Bundesliga and La Liga on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. It’s already been a superb week in Europe with the Semi-Finals of the Champions League and Europa League, and now we have two massive games! We have a huge La Liga relegation battle later, but we start the evening in the Bundesliga with two sides pushing for European spots as Freiburg take on Wolfsburg. Freiburg start the weekend three points behind Union Berlin sitting in fourth, and they desperately need a bounce back win here after losing their last two games. The RB Leipzig loss was a blow, but the 4-2 loss last weekend to Union Berlin was a huge dent in their top four chances. They have to hope Union Berlin drop points somewhere now and time is running out. Wolfsburg are just behind Freiburg in the table, but they can’t catch them for fifth. Their goal will be to hang onto sixth for the final European spot – they start the weekend level on points with Bayer Leverkusen and three ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt so that battle is going to go to the wire too.
Freiburg come into the game as the favourites with home advantage, but they aren’t trading odds on. The home win is 2.38 with Wolfsburg 3.15 and the draw is 3.75 at the time of writing. Wolfsburg have been very good away from home this season so this will be a very tough test for Freiburg. On the away form table Wolfsburg sit in third – Freiburg are actually just above them as they have been excellent away from home too. Where Wolfsburg have struggled this season has actually been at home. Freiburg will feel that they were unlucky to lose last weekend to Union Berlin – they finished the game with an xG of over double what they conceded. Wolfsburg were absolutely hammered by Dortmund recently, but apart from that they have won three of their last four games. Both sides like to play an open game, and it’s clear to see that looking at their under-lining numbers. Both sides create an average xG of 1.5, while Freiburg concede an average of 1.5 and Wolfsburg are just marginally over that at 1.6. This game screams goals to me given the tactics from both sides, and I was very surprised to see Over 2.5 goals trading as big as 1.79. That’s worth a very confident bet in my opinion.

CADIZ V REAL VALLADOLID
8pm Next we move over to La Liga for a huge relegation battle as Cadiz host Real Valladolid. Thankfully for both sides they start the weekend just outside the relegation zone, however they are both on 35 points sitting in 16th and 17th – just one point ahead of Getafe and four ahead of Espanyol. The La Liga season is a little behind the other major leagues in Europe. Everyone has played 34 games, whereas in the Premier League for example it’s 36 bar a few games in hand. There’s plenty of time left for drama. Getafe also have the easiest fixture possible on paper this weekend as they are at home to Elche, who have been nailed to the bottom of the table all season. That’s a must win game for them, and it also means one of these sides could easily – probably odds on to be – sitting in the bottom three after this weekend. Both sides have clearly been playing average football this season given where they are in the table, and I’m sure Cadiz will be delighted to have home advantage for such a big game. They haven’t been fantastic at home – they sit in the bottom three on the home form table, but the level of performance at home and away from Real Valladolid has been very different. They have only managed 11 points away from home this season whereas they have been much better at home. They sit in the bottom three on the away form table, only ahead of Almeria and Elche who have both been woeful away from home.
Cadiz come into the game as the favourites at 2.3 with Real Valladolid 3.5 and the draw is 3.4. As you can imagine, not many wins from both sides recent games. Cadiz did manage one win from their last four games, while Real Valladolid come into the fixture off the back of four losses. Things were looking good after they beat Villarreal and Girona, but momentum has changed since. Real Valladolid’s problem has been conceding far too many goals – their average xG conceded is 2.1 this season. That’s a major issue when you score less than one goal per La Liga game. Cadiz have the exact same figure however, and they score less than one goal per game too! We have two very bad sides here to tell the truth, and it’s hard to trust either. You would naturally think the 2.3 on Cadiz is a little short, but Real Valladolid have been so poor away from home it’s hard to support them. I feel we’ll have a cagey affair here with what’s at stake, I know they both concede chances, but will they be good enough up front to take advantage? Under 2.5 goals is worth a small investment at 1.78.
The Ultra Says:
One point win Under 2.5 goals at 1.78 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
