BUNDESLIGA and LA LIGA PREVIEW: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews Friday’s games between GLADBACH V BAYERN MUNICH and CELTA VIGO V VILLARREAL both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
GLADBACH V BAYERN MUNICH
7.30pm What a fantastic fixture to start Friday Night Football in Europe! Bayern Munich haven’t been at their best this season but they still lead the Bundesliga by two points. They have given the likes of RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen and Dortmund a chance with a loss and three draws, but they still look by far the best team in the league. It’s just been a closer start than usual, but by the looks of things they should have a big gap at the top soon. I really fancy them to beat a Gladbach side who are having an average season and the 1.63 on Bayern looks massive to me.
Gladbach managed to win last weekend to end a run of five games without a win. That only came against Bundesliga new boys Arminia Bielefeld though and prior to going on their disappointing run they beat Schalke but they are two poor sides. If you look at the xG numbers it’s clear that they have been giving away a lot of chances and you just can’t do that against Bayern Munich. Even in a 2-2 draw with Freiburg, they conceded an xG of 4.39! Bayern wouldn’t have only scored twice. Bayern record an xG of 4.31 themselves last weekend and they have found their goal scoring touch again after a little dry spell. I feel Bayern should be closer to 1.5 here rather than 1.63 and they have to be a rare max bet. I doubt you’ll find a better bet in the Bundesliga this weekend on BETDAQ Betting Exchange.

CELTA VIGO V VILLARREAL
8pm We finish the evening in La Liga as Celta Vigo host Villarreal. I think we’ll see an away win double tonight as I fancy Villarreal here at 2.36. Themselves and Bayern would make a good BETDAQ Multiple tonight in my opinion. Celta Vigo have been average this season and they have been consistently over-bet for me for the last few weeks. They have been beating the sides towards the bottom of the table, but you can see looking at their xG figures they haven’t been creating a huge amount that would make me worry about my Villarreal bet here.
Villarreal have been having an excellent season with Unai Emery doing a very solid job. They are currently fifth but just two points behind Barcelona. They are never going to contend with the big boys but they can push for a Champions League spot this season. The one criticism you’d have with Villarreal is perhaps they are a little cagey and don’t create a huge volume of chances. I feel that will be OK here because Celta Vigo concede a lot of chances but that’s the reason I’m happy to keep stakes low – however for me Villarreal outclass this Celta Vigo side.
