FRIDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews Friday’s games between RB LEIPZIG v BAYERN MUNICH and MALLORCA v CELTA VIGO both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

RB LEIPZIG V BAYERN MUNICH

7.30pm The Bundesliga returns on BETDAQ Betting Exchange this week! We’re back for our usual Friday Night Football slot with one game from the Bundesliga and one from La Liga! The Bundesliga always takes a winter break during their season, the benefit of only having 18 teams in the league, but this season has definitely felt longer because of the World Cup break. I’ve seen plenty of jokes about the Bundesliga expecting Germany to last longer in the World Cup when in reality they didn’t have a tough schedule at all getting knocked out at the Group stage! Nevertheless, we return to action with a cracker as RB Leipzig host Bayern Munich. I think it’s fair to say that neither side has been at their best this season, but they both went into the World Cup in great form so they are sitting towards the top of the table. RB Leipzig sit in third, and Bayern are top – as expected really! After dropping more points than usual this season it looked like we might have a decent title race in Germany, but a run of six wins gave Bayern a four point advantage and to be honest the title race already looks over. As if it was ever in doubt I suppose! Despite Bayern heading towards another title, we do have a very interesting game here to resume the league.

Bayern come into the game as the odds on favourites, but they aren’t trading a massively short price. They are 1.87 at the time of writing, and I’m sure they’ll be a very popular bet at those odds. RB Leipzig went into the World Cup in great form as well. They put together five wins from six games, and went unbeaten for eight Bundesliga games which saw them jump up the table after a slow start to the season. Their games have been packed with action, but they have been very entertaining going forward. Their average xG is 2.0 this season and when you are only conceding close to 1.0, you win a lot of games. As you’d expect, Bayern’s stats are more impressive. They are averaging an xG of 2.6 and only conceding 1.1. While I feel Bayern will win here, the 1.87 doesn’t offer a lot of value away from home. I feel the stand out bet here is Over 3.5 goals at 2.17 – both these sides are excellent going forward and they aren’t afraid to play an open game either – I think we’ll see a very entertaining return to the Bundesliga!

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Over 3.5 goals at 2.17 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

MALLORCA V CELTA VIGO

8pm We move to La Liga to finish the evening as Mallorca host Celta Vigo. After winning their final two games to stay up last season, Mallorca will be absolutely delighted to be sitting in mid-table at the moment away from danger. Apart from Elche who look nailed on to go down this season, they relegation race in La Liga looks like it’s going to be very exciting this season! There’s only four points between 12th and 19th – with the added spice of Sevilla actually sitting in 19th. Celta Vigo are definitely one of the sides in the mix to go down – they start the weekend sitting in 16th, just one point ahead of Cadiz who are in the bottom three. That was a great result for Celta Vigo with Cadiz only drawing with Elche having home advantage, and also Cadiz and Sevilla meet this weekend too. From looking at the other fixtures point of view, this is a big game for Celta Vigo – if they could win they will shoot up the table. For Mallorca, they will view this game as a good chance to move even further away from danger and really nail down that mid-table status. Both sides will actually head into this game thinking it’s a good chance for three points, and it’s no surprise that we have a very open market.

This is probably the most open market we’ll see all weekend in Europe. This is actually the closest market I’ve ever seen to the magical 3.0 on all three outcomes! The draw is 3.0, and then there’s only two ticks between both sides with Mallorca 2.98 and Celta Vigo 2.96. That’s the definition of nothing between them! When you look at everything here, it’s actually hard to find an edge for either side. Looking at their stats is almost remarkable. Both sides are averaging an xG of 1.2 going forward this season, and would you believe both sides are conceding the same figure at 1.2 too! Mallorca will be glad to have home advantage, but I wouldn’t say that home/away form is a major factor here looking at their results this season. We could easily have a classic case of the two sides cancelling each other out here, and the market is expecting a cagey game too. Under 2.5 goals is trading as short as 1.47. It is tempting to back the draw at 3.0, but I’m going to take a chance here and back Under 0.5 goals at 7.1. I can easily see a very cagey affair with little chances – neither side have been creating a lot, and I feel the 7.1 is worth a small bet.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Under 0.5 goals at 7.1 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
