BUNDESLIGA/LA LIGA PREVIEW: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews Friday’s Bundesliga / La Liga games between UNION BERLIN v DORTMUND and ATHLETIC BILBAO V HUESCA both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
UNION BERLIN V DORTMUND
7.30pm Once again we have two Friday Night Football fixtures in Europe, one from the Bundesliga and one from La Liga. We start with Union Berlin hosting Dortmund with both sides have a reasonable season. Dortmund will be disappointed to be six points off the pace given Bayern Munich have dropped plenty of points this season. Dortmund over-performed in front of goal last season, so perhaps they are just reverting to mean. Union Berlin will be pleased to sit 6th in the table, however they come into this fixture without a win in four games. They were very lucky to draw with Stuttgart midweek, but have been creating a reasonable amount of chances.
Dortmund fans would have been delighted to see their side bounce back midweek with an xG of 3.43 in a 2-1 win over Werder Bremen because they were very poor last weekend against Stuttgart. This is only a bet to have a small investment on, but I do like the Dortmund lay at 1.9. This is just a bet from a value point of view as I expect the game to be closer than those odds reflect. I wouldn’t have Dortmund odds on, and they are worth laying on BETDAQ Betting Exchange.

ATHLETIC BILBAO V HUESCA
8pm We finish the evening in La Liga with Athletic Bilbao hosting draw specialists Huesca. Perhaps Huesca are turning around their fortunes as they had their first La Liga win last weekend, however they still find themselves in the bottom three. They haven’t been bad, it’s just they have had too many draws. Indeed, they have the most draws in the league this season with eight from 13 games. From a betting point of view, you’d certainly be losing money betting against them even though they find themselves in the bottom three. They are tough to beat, and if they keep playing the way they are I think they will stay up. They should have won more games, for example they drew 1-1 with Eibar but had an xG of 2.78 to 0.90, and 0-0 with Elche with an xG of 1.82 to 0.19.
I feel Athletic Bilbao are a great value lay at 2.2 tonight. Looking at their xG figures they aren’t playing fantastic football and we know how tough Huesca are to beat. Much like the Bundesliga game tonight, I really see this one being closer than the odds suggest. Huesca create enough chances to score and make life very difficult for Athletic Bilbao – and I actually like this lay more than the Dortmund one. Celta Vigo were able to beat Athletic Bilbao 2-0 in their last home game and I feel Huesca will get a result here.
