LA LIGA FRIDAY: The Ultra previews ELCHE v REAL SOCIEDAD with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
ELCHE V REAL SOCIEDAD
8pm It’s the last weekend before we head into another International Break on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE, and we kick it off with Friday night football from La Liga. Elche host Real Sociedad and while this clearly isn’t as glamorous as some of the other fixtures we have had this week – especially in the Champions League – we do have an interesting betting heat here. We have an exceptionally open market with only two ticks between the sides!
Real Sociedad are the marginal favourites at 2.82 with Elche 2.84 and the draw is 3.3 at the time of writing. After coming back up from the Segunda, Elche will be absolutely delighted with their start to the season – 14 points from their eleven games puts them in mid-table away from danger. Their sole aim would have been staying in La Liga this season, and their under-lining numbers aren’t bad either – pretty much mid-table standard.
Real Sociedad won’t be happy with their start though. After consistently getting into the European spots, they dropped out last season with a poor performance level and it already looks like they’ll be missing out again this season. Just twelve points from eleven games leaves them three points off the bottom three never mind pushing for Europe! Creating good quality chances has been a major issues for Real Sociedad for a while now, but ironically they have improved a lot in that area this season – they just haven’t been able to convert them!
They have an average xG created of 1.5, which is the seventh best attacking figure in La Liga this season – but they just haven’t converted those chances and they’ve also conceded more than they should have too. They actually have made progress with their performance levels this season, but it just hasn’t been reflected in their results. While Sociedad are marginally playing the better football, there really isn’t much between the sides here – especially with Elche having home advantage.
It’s hard to see past a very close game here, it’s not a surprise that we have such an open betting heat! The draw makes a lot of appeal at 3.3, as does Under 2.5 goals at 1.77 because you’d have to expect a very tight game. Elche have really kept their games tight this season too – Under 2.5 goals has collected in seven of their eleven games. I couldn’t put anyone off either bet to be honest, but I marginally prefer Under 2.5 goals which looks very nice value at 1.77.
The Ultra Says:
Three points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.77 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE..
