FRIDAY WORLD CUP QUALIFIER: The Ultra previews ENGLAND v ALBANIA with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

7.45pm The World Cup Qualifiers kick off on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE on Friday night! A lot of the major sides are involved in the Nations League Quarter-Finals this week, so we don’t have too many glamorous fixtures; additionally the way the draw has been done too we are waiting for those results to see who actually goes into which qualifying Group. England don’t have that problem after playing their Nations League football in a B Group this time around, and they have been gifted an exceptionally easy qualifying Group too. Thomas Tuchel should have a pretty easy start to his England career!
England are in Group K with Serbia, Albania, Latvia and Andorra. Only Serbia might actually cause them an issue, and even then it would be a massive shock if England didn’t finish in top spot here. Although obviously England have had a lot of setbacks recently; they’ve been pretty boring to watch and things didn’t improve after Gareth Southgate left either – all eyes on the tactics from Tuchel here; but to be honest it’s hard to see England being tested against Albania given the gulf in class between the sides.
The market is fully expecting an England win here, and as you would expect England are the red-hot favourites. England are trading as short as 1.15 with Albania 27.0 and the draw is 9.8 at the time of writing. I can’t see past a comfortable win for England here, so we’ll have to look around the side markets for some value. Albania did reasonably OK in Group B1 in the Nations League, but they still got relegated finishing last in a Group with Czech Republic, Ukraine and Georgia. The two sides actually met in the last World Cup Qualifying too!
England topped that Group with ease, and Albania finished third with Poland in between them. England beat Albania 2-0 away from home and 5-0 in Wembley; those two games were played back in 2021. England to keep another clean sheet here, effectively Both Teams Not To Score is trading 1.48 which is a tempting bet considering how strong England have been at the back recently. It does take out the question of how good they will be going forward too considering they haven’t scored that many goals lately. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.62 so the market isn’t that confident on a massive win! I was surprised to see England -1.5 goals trading only seven ticks away from the Overs price; I feel the handicap option offers a lot more value and I’m happy with that at 1.55.
