LA LIGA: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews Friday’s La Liga game between LEVANTE v HUESCA with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

8pm After the International break, La Liga returns on Friday night as Levante host Huesca. We’re at the stage of the season now when every game is absolutely massive for Huesca who sit bottom of the table. I wouldn’t say Huesca have played badly this season, they have just had too many draws. It was always going to be a big challenge to say in La Liga after coming up, and in fairness to them they have done a reasonable job so far. Things are very tight between the bottom five, but the reality is Huesca desperately need a win or two soon.
Levante are happy sitting in mid-table, and there have been some minor signs that they have eased off lately. Perhaps the International break came at a good time for them, but looking at their xG figures it looks like they are “on the beach” early as they say. I would suggest that could happen to a lot of clubs this season given we had no real summer break in 2020. Levante conceded an xG of 2.5 against Real Betis prior to the International break and gave away one of the biggest xG’s of the season when they conceded 5.67 to Real Sociedad. I don’t know how Sociedad only scored once!
As always, it comes down to the odds on BETDAQ Betting Exchange and I have to lay Levante here at 2.4. Huesca are very hard to beat – even though they sit bottom of the table – and Levante haven’t been creating a lot lately. Even in their recent wins they have been very lucky – they should have drawn with Valencia in a very even game and they didn’t deserve to beat Atletico Madrid – they conceded an xG of 2.84 and managed to keep a clean sheet.
Obviously I’m keen to keep stakes reasonably low here as Huesca are bottom of the table, but Levante have nothing to play for and with Huesca battling hard to stay in La Liga I would definitely have Levante a little higher than 2.5 here. Thus, the 2.4 looks a very good value lay. It’s good to have domestic football back and hopefully we have an excellent weekend!
