MONDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews BOLOGNA v NAPOLI with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
BOLOGNA V NAPOLI
7.45pm We have a massive fixture from Serie A for Monday night football from Europe on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! This caps the end of a huge run of games in Serie A over this matchday; AC Milan played Fiorentina Saturday, then Atalanta v Lazio and Roma v Juventus on Sunday – by the time Bologna host Napoli here they’ll know what position they are in after everyone has played. As things stand coming into the matchday; Bologna are holding onto that fourth spot but Juventus could jump over them with a win away to Roma. Napoli are three points behind Inter Milan, and obviously they’ll be watching their game on Saturday!
The wheels have fallen off the Napoli title charge since February – only two wins from their last eight Serie A games has definitely handed Inter Milan the advantage. Ironically, the two wins came against Fiorentina and AC Milan – two difficult fixtures on paper. The positive is they’ve only lost once, and they have been through a tough run of fixtures. After this one, they finish the season with a reasonably easy fixture list so it’ll be very interesting to see how things stand when everyone has played this weekend. Inter Milan still have to play Bologna and Roma.
We have an exceptionally open betting heat; Napoli come into the game as the favourites at 2.82 with Bologna 3.0 and the draw is 3.1 at the time of writing. I know I’ve said this for a number of weeks, even months now, but Napoli have been massively over-performing this season. Their attacking figure is a mid-table standard, but you can forgive them a bit of luck given they finished mid-table last season with the best attacking figure! They have been rock solid at the back though; average xG figure conceded of 1.13 and actually conceding less than a goal a game on average. Bologna have been ultra-impressive at the back too.
Bologna have the best defensive figure in Serie A this season – the only side with an average xG conceded under 1.0. They’ve actually marginally conceded more goals than Napoli though, but Napoli have been over-performing. Bologna are in the top five on attacking figures, so they fully deserve their spot in the top four. It’s hard to see anything other than a very close game here; I can’t see an open game either given what’s at stake – I’d expect a classic cagey Italian game. Under 2.5 goals obviously comes straight into mind, and that’s trading 1.58 which is still a good value price in my opinion. I couldn’t put anyone off the Unders bet, but the draw makes the most appeal from a value point of view at 3.1 – I expect a very close game here.
