LA LIGA PREVIEW: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews Monday’s La Liga clash between CELTA VIGO V CADIZ with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

8pm We only have one game from Europe for Monday Night Football but it’s a fascinating game nonetheless as Celta Vigo host Cadiz. We have an interesting market for this one on BETDAQ Betting Exchange, with Celta Vigo odds on favourites but sitting in the bottom four of the table while Cadiz are five points ahead of them.
Of course, the table doesn’t dictate who should win games – if it did we’ve all be millionaires! You have to fully respect this Cadiz side however, they come into this fixture with a win over Barcelona last weekend and they’ve also managed to beat Real Madrid this season too. Even allowing for the fact neither side have been at their best this season, not many La Liga side will be able to say they beat both of them at the end of the season.
You have to say Cadiz have settled into La Liga very well and they are playing solid football. They’ve put in some excellent performances and some bad ones; but it’s nothing you wouldn’t expect to see from a promoted side and highly likely to be a mid-to-lower league table side. Celta Vigo will look at their underlining numbers and feel very unlucky to be where they are in the table, but the bottom line is they need to start taking their chances because they have been creating a lot!
Since losing 2-0 to Osasuna the Celta Vigo xG figures read; 2.33, 0.97, 1.82, 2.26, 2.25, 5.07 and 1.18. Those are some very impressive figures all things considered, but they’ve only managed to win two games in that run. Admittedly they were the last two, so they come into this game in good spirits but I still feel they are simply too short at 1.76 to beat a very solid Cadiz side.
I can understand why the market has Celta Vigo odds on. They are creating impressive chances and playing decent football, along with having home advantage and coming into the game with two wins. But I just feel this one will be a lot closer than odds on 1.76 say it will. Cadiz are very tough to beat and from a value point of view I have to have a small investment on the Celta Vigo lay.
