INTER MILAN V BAYER LEVERKUSEN
8pm We’re down to the business end of the Europa League on Monday night and we start with a fantastic fixture. Both these sides have arrived into the Europa League from the Champions League and we should see a very high quality match here. Bayer Leverkusen were never out of first gear against Rangers in the last round, while Inter Milan got past Getafe when winning 2-0 after getting some help from a missed Getafe penalty to level it up. Inter have been very impressive this season, finishing 2nd in Serie A but Leverkusen have been excellent going forward. A fascinating tie awaits.
One thing you can say about Leverkusen is that they are a little leaky at the back. Their Bundesliga games are usually packed with goals and that might be their downfall here. Inter are impressive at the back, and if they can stop Leverkusen from scoring they are bound to still see chances at the other end given the way Leverkusen play. Leverkusen gave up an xG of over 1.5 goals per game in the Bundesliga, but they do have the talent to get a result here. Inter are a couple of ticks too short for me, but not enough to lay them. I like Both Teams To Score at 1.7. Leverkusen have sown enough going forward to suggest they can score here, while they also leave enough gaps at the back for Inter to find the net.

MANCHESTER UNITED V FC COPENHAGEN
8pm Manchester United would have been delighted with the draw and they are shortest price of any Quarter Final side to win. That doesn’t mean it’s a given though as we all know, and they have to get the job done. There’s no point reading too much into their game with LASK the other night as they made plenty of chances and won the first leg 5-0. That didn’t stop us landing our BTTS bet and with Untied finishing the Premier League season looking tired, it will be fascinating to see what sort of performance we see here.
United are the favourites to win the competition, but that’s possibly down to their easy draw. In fairness to the Red Devils they have been very impressive in Europe this season – they have only conceded three goals in their ten games and they have been scoring too. Martial and Rashford have been excellent since returning from lockdown, and they will have enjoyed their little rest after the Premier League season finished. United being so short makes this a difficult game for betting, and while they should get the job done I can see Copenhagen making their life difficult and being quite negative. I can see a cagey start with United scoring late on. Under 2.5 goals is worth a small bet for me at 2.48.
