MONDAY PREVIEW: The Ultra previews Monday’s matches between ROMA v CREMONESE and SAMPDORIA v JUVENTUS both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
ROMA V CREMONESE
5.30pm Monday Night Football from Europe this week comes from Serie A! There is also some La Liga action, but with Roma and Juventus in action in Italy, I’m happy to focus on the Serie A markets on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. We kick off the evening early with Roma hosting new boys Cremonese. The market is fully expecting a comfortable home win here for Jose Mourinho’s men with Roma trading as short as 1.27 at the time of writing. Cremonese finished second, two points behind winner Lecce, in Serie B last season. One suspects that they are going to have a very difficult time staying in Serie A this season – they lost nine games in Serie B which is quite a lot – they were saved by winning the most amount of games in the league – they obviously don’t like a draw! They started their Serie A campaign with a 3-2 loss away to Fiorentina, and I would suggest that their games are going to be entertaining this season. That might not be a good thing for them though given the amount of goals and chances they give away – they actually conceded the most goals in the top five in Serie B last season. Given the attacking talent of the Serie A sides, it’s going to be a difficult season for them.
What is in Cremonese’s favour though is they do attack well and score goals themselves. I expect their games to be end-to-end this season, and they might actually be a breath of fresh air. Hopefully they do well. We all know that Jose Mourinho is doing brilliant things at Roma, and we have a fascinating season ahead. Mourinho brought the club their first major European trophy last season, and they have a huge amount of season ticket holders now. Their stats from that are incredible. The atmosphere in the stadium is fantastic and it seems the players are going out there to fight for Mourinho. This is the type of situation where he does really, really well. However, we all know things can change quickly and turn sour. We saw the same fast success at Chelsea and Manchester United, and we know how that finished. A fascinating season ahead though, and they really should be winning this game. I can’t make the case for taking them on, and the 1.27 is a nice addition to any Betdaq Multiple today. For my best bet though, the goal markets stand out here. Cremonese play such an open game It’s hard not to see a lot of goals here, and I was surprised to see Over 2.5 goals trading as high as 1.67. I’d be very surprised if we didn’t see that land given the likely tactics from both sides.
The Ultra Says:
Four points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.67 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

SAMPDORIA V JUVENTUS
7.45pm As I said above, I’m happy to focus on Serie A tonight and we finish the evening with Sampdoria hosting Juventus. Sampdoria will be hoping to improve on their 15th finish last season, but to be honest I would suggest they should be happy just to stay in Serie A. They weren’t far away from the relegation battle last season, and they will likely be involved at some point this season too. Juventus will really be hoping to improve on last season too – they started the season terribly and it looked like they might not even make the top four. They were sitting in mid-table struggling but they produced a brilliant run in the middle of the season to get into that fourth place. There was a little cushion in the end between them and the likes of Lazio and Roma – it will be interesting to see does that gap extend or close this season. They know how important it is to get off to a good start now, and they kicked off their season with a 3-0 win at home to Sassuolo. They did concede a few chances so I wouldn’t say it was an impressive as the final result, but they deserved to win. Sampdoria are a pretty average Serie A side, and Juventus will fully be expected to win here. Sampdoria actually have a tough fixture list to start the season – they were away to Atalanta on the opening weekend and now have Juventus. I would expect a reasonably tight game here – I don’t see Sampdoria doing anything other than putting XI men behind the ball.
At times last season, Juventus really struggled to create chances and score goals. Their xG figures were great for a club their size. I had to check the Sampdoria home form from last season to see how strong they were, and they collected more than one point per game with 21 points from their 19 games. That’s not bad for a side close to the relegation battle, and most of their issues came away from home. I can fully understand why Juventus are trading 1.67 – I would expect plenty of traders are happy to lay them as they expect them to drift in-running. They might grind out a 1-0 or 2-0 win, and Under 2.5 goals looks a cracking bet at 2.0 here. I feel Sampdoria will be very negative here and attempt to grind out a draw, Juventus will have to work very hard to get through and given they don’t exactly create chances for fun lately I can see a pretty quiet game here. I know there isn’t much in it between the Over and Under prices, but I’d definitely have Under 2.5 goals odds on and favourite.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 2.0 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
