GETAFE V REAL SOCIEDAD
9pm Getafe host Real Sociedad in the only La Liga game on Monday night. This is an interesting fixture, because both sides have been struggling since returning from lockdown. Neither have won a game in four tries, however Getafe have proven tougher to beat with three draws from four games. Real Sociedad have recorded xG’s of 1.09, 0.71, 0.51 and 0.85 which isn’t impressive since returning. Granted one of those fixtures (0.51) came against Real Madrid.
With neither side creating much, it makes sense that under 2.5 goals is trading 1.6 and if anything that looks like a shade of value. I like the Getafe price here at 2.68 though and that is a price definitely worth backing. Getafe should have beaten Espanyol created an xG of 2.33 to 0.68 and in their other home game; it was a very even 1-1 draw with Eibar and you couldn’t say that was anything but a fair result.
Getafe might not be creating a hatful of chances but they are creating enough to beat a side like Real Sociedad and looking at the xG conceded of Getafe, they should have no problems keeping Real Sociedad out. It’s hard to see anything but a low scoring a close game here, but Getafe shouldn’t be as big as 2.68 in the match odds market. They have a bigger chance of winning here than those odds reflect and can deal with this Sociedad side.
