7pm It’s Italian Super Cup Final time on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE as we have a Milan Derby on Monday in Saudi Arabia. It was business as usual for Inter Milan when beating Atalanta last week, but AC Milan produced an excellent come back in the last 20 minutes to come from 1-0 down against Juventus. All in all, it’s been an entertaining little tournament so far, obviously it gets a little negative press given it’s hosted by Saudi Arabia just for money but the action on the pitch has been good. A Milan Derby will add some spice to the Final too!
Inter Milan come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.86 with AC Milan 5.0 and the draw is 3.7 at the time of writing. AC Milan have really been on the back foot in Serie A this season – they sit in mid-table at the moment – but they have been playing some decent football. They have the third best attacking figure behind Atalanta and Inter Milan this season but that hasn’t translated into results. Their defensive figure is very respectable at 1.18 too, and they are actually over-performing at the back too because their actual goals conceded average is only one per game.
I can’t quite put my finger on why AC Milan aren’t closer to the European spots, but here we are. They just haven’t been grinding out results. Inter Milan are clearly playing better football this season, but the 1.86 does feel a little short. AC Milan did get a win when the sides met earlier in the season in Serie A. The major difference between the sides is at the back because there’s only 0.07 between them on attacking xG figures. I was actually surprised to see Under 2.5 goals trading odds against at 2.06 – I felt we’d see a close and cagey game here, but that being said we had some very high scoring games here in the Spanish Super Cup and obviously the Juventus v AC Milan game would have screamed Unders but Over backers collected there.
I couldn’t put anyone off a small bet on Under 2.5 goals because the 2.06 does feel value. However, I do like the Inter lay for a small investment here – I just feel we’ll see a closer game than the odds suggest. I’m keen to keep stakes small because AC Milan just haven’t got enough results this season, but you can see looking at their under-lining numbers that they are playing good football. This should be a good game!
