SERIE A MONDAY: The Ultra previews LAZIO v CAGLIARI with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
LAZIO V CAGLIARI
7.45pm It’s the start of a massive week from Europe on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! The Champions League and Europa League are back this week, and we have some blockbuster fixtures to enjoy. We kick of the week with Lazio hosting Cagliari in Serie A, and while it might not be the most glamorous start to the week, we do have an interesting betting heat. Lazio have really struggled at the start of the season, but on paper this is a game that they should be winning.
It’s no surprise that Lazio come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.64 with Cagliari 6.8 with the draw trading 4.0 at the time of writing. Cagliari were involved in the relegation battle last season, and it’s likely to be the same story again this season – they do have a little cushion on the bottom three at the moment, but there are red flags in their performance levels. They have an average xG created of 1.01 which is the third worst attacking figure in Serie A this season. Only Pisa and Cremonese have created less.
They are also in the bottom four on defensive figures, and when you put those two things together things aren’t looking too good for Cagliari. However, the fact that Lazio are trading as high as 1.64 here to be a relegation candidate is a reflection of how much they have struggled this season. Lazio are just behind Cagliari on defensive figures – their average xG conceded is 1.56 which is very high. So far they’ve been getting away with that because sides have only roughly taken half of those chances.
Lazio also have a poor attacking figure; their average xG created is only 1.19 which is a very poor attacking figure. Pisa have quite poor figures this season, and while they were away from home Lazio could only manage a 0-0 draw last Thursday. I’m happy to stay out of the match odds markets here to be honest; it’s hard to have faith in Lazio but obviously Cagliari have been playing at a poor level too. Both sides have been poor at the back, but at the same time have been very poor in attack – I’m happy to keep stakes small here, and Under 2.5 goals looks a nice option at 1.89.
The Ultra Says:
One point win Under 2.5 goals at 1.89 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE..
