MONDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews LAZIO v INTER MILAN with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
LAZIO V INTER MILAN
7.45pm Monday night football from Europe comes from Serie A this week, and we have an absolute cracker on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE as Lazio host Inter Milan. The title race in Italy this season looks like it’s going to be a very entertaining one, we came into this matchday with five sides within three points of each other. Juventus are the only side that remain unbeaten, but I wouldn’t actually include them in the title race – they have had far too many draws. Both of these sides have the same amount of points, three points behind Atalanta, but Inter Milan have a game in hand.
With Lazio having home advantage, you’d expect this to be a competitive affair. Inter Milan come into the game as the favourites at 2.16 with Lazio 3.9 and the draw is 3.45 at the time of writing. Both sides have been playing some very good football this season, and they deserve to be sitting up towards the top of the table. Atalanta have the best attacking figure this season in Serie A, but the next two sides on that list are Inter Milan and Lazio. Both have been exceptional at the back too – Inter Milan have an average xG conceded of 0.98 and Lazio 1.09 – both figures are in the top four defensive figures.
Everything points to a high quality game here, and I’m not surprised that Inter Milan aren’t odds on. Lazio have made a lot of improvement this season – especially going forward because they were very average in that department. Their average xG created last season was only 1.25, which was towards the bottom of the table. I do feel that this game will be closer than odds on 2.16 suggest on Inter – Lazio have been in good form recently too. They beat Napoli twice in a row, once in the Coppa Italia and once in Serie A.
I couldn’t put anyone off the Inter lay from a value point of view. However, I also expect a very cagey game here. Both sides have been excellent at the back – I know they are both good going forward too, but I can’t see either side wanting to make the game too open. I’d expect a 0-0 at half-time and then things to open up from there a little. Under 2.5 goals is trading 1.94 and that looks a very nice value position.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.94 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
