SERIE A and LA LIGA: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews Monday’s games between INTER MILAN v ATALANTA and REAL BETIS v ALAVES with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
INTER MILAN V ATALANTA
7.45pm We have a fantastic match to kick off Monday night football from Serie A as Inter Milan host Atalanta! Inter have been excellent in recent weeks since taking the advantage at the top of the table when beating AC Milan. Juve won on Saturday night to close the gap to seven points and while they are playing decent football, the title is in Inter’s hands. This is a tough game though as Atalanta are a very solid side. They were expected to beat Real Madrid in the Champions League but they lost 1-0 and performed poorly. It will be very interesting to see how they get on tonight as Inter have been in impressive form.
Even though on paper it seemed like Inter had to grind out a 2-1 win over Parma, their xG figures were very impressive – they ended the game with 3.13. They have been creating a host of chances lately and they good very good value at 2.1. Their last five xG figures in Serie A have been 3.13, 2.99, 2.35, 2.1 and 2.3 – those are some very impressive numbers and although Atalanta have been scoring a lot of goals lately I still feel Inter can outgun them here. I’d have Inter marginally odds on and I’m very happy to take the 2.1 on BETDAQ Betting Exchange

REAL BETIS V ALAVES
8pm We move to La Liga next as Real Betis host Alaves. We’re getting to the stage of the season now when every game is a big game for Alaves who sit in the bottom three. Things are very tight towards the bottom of the table with only five points between them and Getafe. They have had to play Real Madrid and Barcelona lately, and they got a 4-0 hammering against Real Sociedad too. Real Betis come into the game with three straight wins, although they have come against Villarreal, Getafe and Cadiz – however they lost 3-2 against Barcelona and performed very well. They look to be in good form and this seems an ideal opportunity to notch up another three points.
Alaves main problem seems to be creating chances and while Real Betis have won their last two games 1-0, they created an xG figure of 2.91 against Getafe. This game doesn’t strike me as a game for big stakes but I do like Real Betis at 1.8 here. Under 2.5 goals is of interest too, but it’s a little bit shorter and Alaves have conceded plenty of goal lately. I wouldn’t put anyone off the under 2.5 goals but on balance I can’t get away from Betis here at 1.8. They should totally outclass this Alaves side.
