TORINO V SASSUOLO

7.45pm Monday night football from Europe this week comes from Serie A and La Liga on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE. We might not have the most glamorous fixtures after a fantastic weekend and another busy week in the Champions League coming up, but we do have two very competitive markets to look through. We start the evening in Serie A as Torino host Sassuolo. Since the 2021/22 season, these two sides have been your classic mid-table Serie A sides. In the 2020/21 season, Torino were actually involved in the relegation battle finishing just four points outside the bottom three in 17th but since then they have been reasonably solid. With home advantage, they come into this game as the favourites. Torino are trading 2.24 with Sassuolo 3.7 and the draw is 3.5 at the time of writing. We have a very interesting game here in my opinion; Torino have been trying to keep games as tight as possible this season while Sassuolo have been playing a very open game. Two very different approaches and they come into this game with just one point between them!

The key here will be the Torino attack against the Sassuolo defence. I would suggest this is both sides weak point. Heading into this matchday, Torino were one of only three sides with an average xG created of under 1.0 this season. They have been solid at the back though as their average xG conceded is only 1.20 which is top six form. Sassuolo are clearly creating more chances – it would be hard not to – but the problem for Sassuolo is they are conceding an average xG of 1.58. Prior to this weekend, that was the third worst defence figure in Serie A. In a nutshell, we have a very poor attack against a very poor defence! Sassuolo have been creating enough to win here, especially if Torino can’t take advantage of them at the back. When I look at this game I just see a very close game, and the Torino lay looks a very nice position at 2.24. I expect a closer game than the odds suggest given Torino’s struggles up front.

The Ultra Says:
Two points lay (liability) Torino to beat Sassuolo at 2.24 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

GETAFE V CADIZ

8pm Next we move over to La Liga to finish Monday night football as Getafe host Cadiz. Both sides were heavily involved in the relegation battle last season, and you would have thought they’d be involved again this season. While they haven’t exactly put a lot of distance between themselves and the relegation zone; they have been doing OK relatively speaking. Getafe have managed twelve points from eleven games while Cadiz have ten. Neither sides have good under-lining numbers, and while they have a little cushion on the bottom three at the moment you wouldn’t be surprised to see them slip back into the relegation battle in a big way. Cadiz currently have the worst xG performance at -0.87 per game. They are only creating an average xG of 0.87 which is the worst figure in La Liga, and they are conceding an average of 1.74 which is very high too – that’s actually the worst record at the back too. They are almost like Sheffield United in the Premier League, but not quite as bad. Where do you even start when you have the worst defence and worst attack! The only credit you could give them is they have been grinding out results which is to their credit.

While Getafe haven’t been as bad, they still have very average under-lining numbers. Their average xG created is only 1.11 which is the fourth worst record in La Liga and their average xG conceded of 1.47 is the sixth worst. As always with betting, it all comes down to the prices. Getafe are the favourites with home advantage, and they are trading 1.99 with Cadiz 5.1 and the draw id 3.25 at the time of writing. My first reaction to the Getafe price was that it was very short, however it’s hard to have faith in this Cadiz side. There really aren’t many positives to say about them, and I’m happy to stay away from the match odds market here. This game screams a lack of chances created with two very average sides going forward. I couldn’t put anyone off Both Teams Not To Score at 1.61 or Under 2.5 goals at 1.5 but I’m going to have a small bet on 0-0 Correct Score at 7.2.

The Ultra Says:
One point win 0-0 Correct Score at 7.2 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
