MONDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews the matches between FIORENTINA v ATALANTA and CELTA VIGO v MALLORCA both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

FIORENTINA V ATALANTA

7.45pm We have a massive week around Europe on BETDAQ Betting Exchange this week! We have the second leg ties from the Champions League and Europa League Quarter-Finals, but we kick the week off with Monday night football from Serie A and La Liga. It might not be the most glamourous start to the week compared to the fixtures we have coming up, but we do have two very interesting markets. We start the action in Serie A with the highlight of the night as Fiorentina host Atalanta. We should have a very close game here, and it’s no surprise that we have an open market. Fiorentina are the favourites as you’d expect with home advantage – they are currently trading 2.44 with Atalanta 3.1 and the draw is 3.65. Atalanta would have been gutted to lose 2-0 last weekend to Bologna, especially because with all the points Roma, AC Milan and Inter Milan have dropped in recent weeks they are crept back into the top four battle. They started this matchday only four points behind AC Milan and a couple of weeks ago it looked like their European chances were on the way out. That loss was a huge blow – they were decent odds on favourites to win too. Fiorentina have been very solid at home this season, and this will be a tough test for Atalanta.

The main positive here for Atalanta is their away form this season has been excellent. Only Napoli and Lazio, the top two in the table, have more points than them away from home this season. Their under-lining numbers are very strong too – they average an xG of 1.7 going forward and only concede 1.1. Fiorentina come into this game off the back of a seven game unbeaten run in La Liga however; including a 2-1 win over AC Milan here and a 1-0 win away to Inter Milan which was definitely a little lucky because they conceded an xG of 2.71! They don’t create as much going forward as Atalanta and they concede a little more. I feel we’ll have a very close game here, but I like the Fiorentina lay at 2.44. I just feel that price is a couple of ticks too short given how strong Atalanta have been away from home this season. I know they haven’t been the most reliable side lately after a strong start to the season, so I will reduce stakes a little, but the 2.44 looks a good value lay.

The Ultra Says:
Two points lay (liability) Fiorentina to beat Atalanta at 2.44 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

CELTA VIGO V MALLORCA

8pm We move over to La Liga to finish Monday night football as Celta Vigo host Mallorca. We have two sides very close together in the table here, only two points between them, but they have been heading in different directions lately. Celta Vigo are unbeaten in seven La Liga games and have shot up the table since the World Cup – they weren’t too far away from the relegation battle at the early stage of the season, but they were never going to stay there for long. Mallorca are without a win in six La Liga games, and they haven’t had a difficult fixture list either. They have played the likes of Elche and Real Valladolid in that run – two sides in the relegation battle. They would have been especially disappointed to lose to Elche who are nailed to the bottom of the table. Despite this run, Mallorca have already done enough not to worry about the relegation battle. They started this matchday sitting in 12th seven points away from the bottom three – perhaps there’s an element of “job done” from the squad. I assume their only goal is to stay in La Liga at their level after all. Celta Vigo have been on a strong run of form, scoring a lot of goals, and it’s not a surprise to see them trading odds on to win here. I’m sure the home win will be a popular bet to start the week!

At the time of writing, Celta Vigo are trading 1.86 with Mallorca 5.8 and the draw is 3.4. Neither sides are particularly strong at home or away here – both have been pretty average to be honest. They are both in the bottom seven for home and away form so there’s no big positive or negative there. Celta Vigo have scored ten goals in their last four games so they are bang in form coming into this game. Mallorca have been trying to keep games as tight as possible – they had a crazy 3-3 with Real Valladolid last weekend but that is rare for them. They only average xG of 1.1 going forward and concede 1.2. Their games are quite dull to be honest, and I’m sure they’ll have a cagey approach here too. Celta Vigo have been scoring so much it puts me off Unders, especially because it’s trading very short at 1.52. I know Mallorca are quite negative, but 2.8 seems massive on Over 2.5 goals. I’m going to keep stakes small and take a chance with that – Celta will play an open game and hopefully we see an early goal to kick things off and get Mallorca out of their shells.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Over 2.5 goals at 2.8 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
