SATURDAY LA LIGA: The Ultra previews Saturday’s headline La Liga game between BARCELONA v ESPANYOL with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
BARCELONA V ESPANYOL
1pm It’s the last day of 2022, and we have some cracking La Liga action on BETDAQ Betting Exchange! We have three fixtures to enjoy, but Barcelona v Espanyol looks the pick of them. Barcelona have completely turned things around from last season, and they have been wonderful this season – they went into the World Cup sitting top of the table and their xG figures have been incredibly impressive. They are creating an average xG of 2.8 per game while only conceding 0.8. It’s no surprise they went into the World Cup sitting top of the table.
Although Barcelona sat top during the World Cup, it was more due to Real Madrid losing ground in the lead up to the World Cup because Barcelona lost El Clasico earlier on in the season. They did finish that game with a higher xG figure than Real Madrid, so it’s not like they got outplayed – they just didn’t take their chances. The market is fully expecting an easy home win here with Barcelona trading as short as 1.27 at the time of writing.
I have to say, looking at the performances from Barcelona I find it very hard to see past a a comfortable home win here. I couldn’t put anyone off including Barcelona at 1.27 in any Betdaq Multiple this week, but I’m going to look around the side markets for some value here – you don’t get any medals for tipping a 1.27 shot. Espanyol have been struggling this season – they went into the World Cup sitting down in 16th just outside the relegation zone.
As you would expect sitting there, they have conceded more goals than they scored this season. However, they have actually created the same amount of chances they have conceded. Their stats are average, but they aren’t very bad – I don’t see them being in a relegation battle for example. The market is expecting plenty of goals here, with Over 2.5 goals trading 1.46. I have to say I agree with the market; I would expect plenty of chances at both ends of the pitch. Espanyol have created enough to suggest that they can score, and if Barcelona go 2-0 or 3-0 up then I can see them playing a very open game too. Both Teams To Score looks nice value at 1.92, especially compared to other markets with the prices so short on plenty of goals.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Both Teams To Score at 1.92 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
