BARCELONA V MALLORCA

3.15pm The focus on Saturday from Europe on Betdaq Betting Exchange is on La Liga! Barcelona host Mallorca at Camp Nou in what should be an easy win on paper. It’s no surprise that they come into the game as the red-hot favourites – Barcelona are trading as short as 1.16 with Mallorca 20.0 and the draw is 10.0 at the time of writing. Both sides come into the game under intense pressure for different reasons – a recent loss means that there’s only one point between Barcelona and Real Madrid in the title battle. Mallorca might come into the weekend sitting in 14th, but there’s only two points to the relegation zone.

When you look at the underlying numbers, the gulf in class becomes even more apparent. Barcelona have the best attacking figure in La Liga with an average xG created of 2.25 per game, which is absolutely elite. They’re creating chances for fun and have the quality to convert them too. At the back, they’ve been equally impressive with an average xG conceded of just 1.09 — the best defensive figure in the league. Barcelona have been clearly the best side in Spain this season, and while Real Madrid are keeping the pressure on, it’s hard to argue with the numbers – although you just know that the title battle is going to go right down to the wire. Especially now Real Madrid seemingly have a second wind with the players getting Xabi Alonso out.

Mallorca have plenty to worry about. Their average xG created is 1.21 which is the fourth worst attacking figure in La Liga. At the back things aren’t much better. Their average xG conceded of 1.66 is also in the bottom four defensive figures in La Liga – you really don’t want to be bringing that type of figure into a game against the best attacking side in the league. They’ve been leaking chances all season and Barcelona are the last team you want to face when your defensive numbers look like that. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mallorca are heavily involved in the relegation battle this season.

It’s very difficult to see past a Barcelona win here – I feel the question is how many goals can they score rather than will they actually win. It’s a price for a weekend Acca rather than a straight bet, so we’ll have to look around the side markets for some value. Obviously there’s no prizes for tipping 1.16 shots! Over 2.5 goals is trading short 1.29, and the market is also expecting Barcelona to do most of the work because Both Teams To Score is 1.87. Barcelona have been very impressive at the back, and given how limited Mallorca have been in attack I feel Barcelona can keep a clean sheet here on the way to winning. I’m happy with a small bet on Both Teams Not To Score at 2.08.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Both Teams Not To Score at 2.08 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
