BAYER LEVERKUSEN V BAYERN MUNICH
2.30pm We have a cracking fixture to enjoy on Saturday afternoon as Bayer Leverkusen host Bayern Munich. Bayern have clearly been the best team in the Bundesliga this season, and Leverkusen will have to improve from their two recent performances to stand a chance of getting something from this. They were lucky to beat Freiburg on xG and shipping four goals in their last home game against Wolfsburg. Bayern have been in cruise control since returning from lockdown.
While Bayern are seven points clear at the top of the Bundesliga, they do have some tricky fixtures coming up. This game, Gladbach (4th) and Wolfsburg (6th) – they know a win here is important as they look to kill any hope Dortmund had. This game screams goals. Leverkusen games had a host of goals prior to the Freiburg game, which looked a dull affair on paper. If this one goes to form on xG, over 3.5 goals will win at 1.9. Bayern away games are showing over 4 goals while Leverkusen home games have an xG of over 3.5. Both Teams To Score is also very tempting at 1.5 but I’m happy with the over 3.5 goals bet.

DORTMUND V HERTHA BERLIN
5.30pm Dortmund will have the luxury of knowing the result of the Bayern game but it shouldn’t make a difference. They should win here. Last weekend I backed under 3.5 goals in Dortmund’s game – it was 1.08 at 0-0 at HT and then the game finished 6-1 to Dortmund! It’s fair to say that they have been lethal in front of goal this season, consistently out-performing their xG. That will have to stop at some stage, but they keep doing it week after week!
Dortmund are impressive on paper with their results, but they aren’t generating an xG to reflect the score lines. They aren’t as dominant at their appear to be. Dortmund home games are showing an xG of under 3.5 but the actual is 4. Hertha are a solid team, and I believe that they can stop Dortmund from out-performing their xG again. Under 3.5 goals is a tempting bet at 1.9. Hertha have kept things very tight up front and at the back away while Dortmund have only conceded 11 here all season. If Dortmund perform to their xG, under 3.5 goals will win but as we saw last week it doesn’t always go that way! We hit 1.08 last week, perhaps this is one to trade but I’m happy to take the value on offer again based on xG.
