BUNDESLIGA SATURDAY: Our new European football tipster The Ultra previews Saturday’s Bundesliga games between BAYERN MUNICH v SC FREIBURG, HERTHA BERLIN v BAYER LEVERKUSEN and SCHALKE v WOLFSBURG all with recommended BETDAQ bets.

BAYERN MUNICH V SC FREIBURG
2.30pm We have a super Saturday in the Bundesliga ahead, with a full fixture list kicking off at 2-30pm! We start with the Champions Bayern Munich taking on Freiburg. Bayern sealed the deal last weekend but I still feel that they offer good value to cover the handicap here. Freiburg are sitting in 8th in the Bundesliga table, however xG drops them down to 13th and the 1.68 on Bayern to cover the 1.5 goal handicap is too big to ignore here.
Bayern have been nothing short of excellent at home this season, they have scored 50 goals in 16 games – which is only a little over their xG too! While Freiburg have “only” conceded 27 times away from home in 16 games, xG tells a different story. They have given up an xG of 37 away. Bayern have only conceded 14 goals at home and I can see Bayern taking this Freiburg aside apart here. If the game goes to xG, Bayern easily cover this handicap.

HERTHA BERLIN V BAYER LEVERKUSEN
2.30pm Going through the fixture list, this game caught my eye. Hertha Berlin have been on my shortlist to oppose and I was very surprise to see 1.66 on Leverkusen to win here. Hertha have lost their last three games, but their performances have been worse. They only generated an xG of 0.12 against Dortmund which is remarkably poor, conceded an xG of 2.71 here against Eintracht Frankfurt and lost to Freiburg on Tuesday which was a reasonably fair result. They aren’t performing well and Leverkusen can win here.
Away sides have been performing well behind closed doors, however Leverkusen have won 10 of their 16 away Bundesliga games this season. They have an xG of around 1.5 goals per away game while Hertha have a higher xG for goals conceded at home. Apart from losing to Bayern and a shocked against Wolfsburg, Leverkusen have been impressive lately and looking at the figures, Hertha are there for the taking today.

SCHALKE V WOLFSBURG
2.30pm Schalke are another team I want to be against. They have been nothing short of dreadful since returning from lockdown and there’s no sign of them turning things around. Wolfsburg were disappointing when losing 3-0 to Gladbach on Tuesday, but they have the class to beat this Schalke side and have a good away record. Schalke have barely created anything in front of goal since returning from lockdown and they have been very profitable to oppose. Wolfsburg aren’t bombproof – they threw away an early two goal lead against Freiburg for example but it’s hard to see Schalke winning in their current state.
Wolfsburg’s away stats are impressive. They are conceding an xG of 1.36 and scoring close to 2 goals per game. You can really see Schalke struggling to create chances against them. They’ve only managed 19 goals in 16 home games this season, more or less in line with xG too and Wolfsburg are worth backing at 1.7 to get the job done.
