BUNDESLIGA/LA LIGA SATURDAY: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews Saturday’s top matches from the Bundesliga and La Liga with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

DORTMUND V SC FREIBURG
2.30pm It’s yet another Super Saturday in Europe and I’m delighted to see 0% Commission on all Sports on BETDAQ every Saturday in October. Time to back some winners! We start the day with Dortmund hosting Freiburg after their surprise loss against Augsburg last weekend. I have noted previously that Dortmund massively over performed in the Bundesliga last season, and perhaps we will see more results like last weekend. Dortmund don’t create as many chances relative to the goals that they score; and that has to stop at some stage.
Freiburg have started their season in solid form, with a win and a draw from their opening two games. They performed well against Wolfsburg last weekend, and had a crazy 3-2 win on the opening weekend. They like to play an open brand of football, and I think they can score against this Dortmund side. The market is expecting goals, with over 2.5 goals as short as 1.47, but I like Both Teams To Score at the value price of 1.84 in what should be another open game involving Freiburg.

ATLETICO MADRID V VILLARREAL
3pm Atletico Madrid let us down on Wednesday against Huesca, but they were very unlucky to draw 0-0 with an xG of 1.94. It’s just one of those results! This is a brilliant game, and probably deserves a better slot than 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. Unai Emery has hit the ground running as manager of Villarreal with two wins and an unlucky draw from four games – with their one loss coming away to Barcelona which can be expected. They were very unlucky not to beat Huesca too, with an xG of 2.72 to 0.74 in a 1-1 draw.
Villarreal look solid at the back, so this should be an excellent game. I love this Atletico Madrid side though, and the 1.72 is too tempting to turn down. It’s not a banker or anything like that because Emery has been doing good things with Villarreal but the home win is still worth backing at the odds. Atletico have been creating a lot of chances for a while now, and they have very impressive under-lining numbers.

RB LEIPZIG V SCHALKE
5.30pm We end the day with RB Leipzig hosting Schalke, and regular readers will know how much I like taking on Schalke. It’s now been 18 Bundesliga games since they beat Gladbach at home on the 17th of January. They were woeful when they returned from lockdown, and they haven’t started the season in good form either. I take on board that it’s tough to beat Bayern Munich; who expects that! However, they conceded eight goals! And then went on to lose 3-1 to Werder Bremen in a game where the market had them favourites.
RB Leipzig disappointed me last weekend when they couldn’t beat Bayer Leverkusen – with the players Leverkusen had sold during the summer I took a chance with a decent bet on Leipzig away from home but a draw was a very fair result and I can have no complaints. I’m happy to oppose Schalke again today, and I like Leipzig to cover the 1.5 goal handicap at 1.75. Schalke have been very poor, and I’m happy to keep taking them on until something changes.
