BUNDESLIGA / SERIE A PREVIEW: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews HERTHA BERLIN v KOLN, JUVENTUS v INTER MILAN and ROMA v LAZIO all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
HERTHA BERLIN V KOLN
2.30pm It’s another massive Saturday in Europe, and with all football bets 0% Commission on BETDAQ Betting Exchange today it promises to be an excellent day. We start in the Bundesliga, where all of today’s games kick off at 2-30pm. There are some more interesting games than others looking at the line-up, but by far the most interesting game comes from the bottom of the table as Hertha Berlin host Koln. This is a high pressure game, and almost a must win game for Koln who have dropped into the relegation zone. Hertha Berlin were sitting in 17th for ages before Koln took their spot, but that was because they couldn’t play for almost a month with Covid19. They must have returned under a lot of pressure – they had games in hand but were still in the danger zone.
Hertha have come back in good form however, they are unbeaten in four with two wins and two draws. They really needed that win against Schalke midweek, as anything bar a win against Schalke would have been a massive setback after they could only draw with Arminia Bielefeld. We have a pretty open market here, but I feel the sides should be closer together. I wouldn’t have Hertha quite so short at 2.64. I know Koln concede a lot of chances, hence their position in the table, but they create a lot too. Against Hertha, this could win them the game as Hertha don’t create a huge amount – for example they only had an xG of 0.55 at home against Arminia Bielefeld. Koln have played a little better than their position in the table, and they can get a result here. I’m keen to lay Hertha at the odds, but I’d expect goals and wouldn’t put anyone off over 2.5 goals or Both Teams To Score.
The Ultra Says:
Two points lay (liability) Hertha Berlin to beat Koln at 2.64 with BETDAQ Betting Exchange

JUVENTUS V INTER MILAN
5pm Next we move to Serie A for a massive game. Inter Milan already have the Serie A title won, but they have a chance to keep Juventus out of the Champions League with a win here, and that would be a huge blow to Juventus. It’s hard to see some of their stars staying without Champions League football next season, so there’s a huge amount on the line here. I have to say I was very surprised to see Juventus lose 3-0 to AC Milan last weekend, and after everyone winning since, Juventus now find themselves outside the top four. Things are still very tight, as they are three points behind Atalanta and AC Milan in second and third, and one point behind Napoli in fourth. A loss here would basically end their chances though bar results going in their favour from other teams, and they face the best side in the league. Fair to say the pressure is on!
When you read the bits of information coming out about Juventus, you get the feeling all is not well in the dressing room. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Ronaldo leave in the summer, but he almost certainly will without Champions League football. Obviously Inter Milan have effectively nothing to play for here, but I still feel the odds are way off. Juventus look massively short at 2.26 – they just haven’t played well enough to justify those odds against the best side in the league. I take on board Juventus need to win and Inter don’t need to do anything, but getting one over on their rivals will be a massive motivation in my view. It’s tempting to have a Max Lay, but I have to accept Inter could be very laid back about this game so I will stay at a three point lay rather than five points. The 2.26 on Juventus looks very short however!

ROMA V LAZIO
7.45pm We have another big game in Serie A this evening as Roma take on Lazio. It’s safe to assume Lazio will have one eye on the Juventus game earlier in the day, as a win for Inter Milan would certainly open the door for Lazio to catch Juventus. They have a game in hand on Juventus, although they are five points behind. By the time this game kicks off however if Juventus have lost, they’d have two games to play and could go past with a win here and a win in the game in hand, so then it goes down to the final day and they could get into the Europa League. They should be confident too, as Roma have been pretty poor lately. They dropped the bombshell of announcing Jose Mourinho as their manager for next season, and one wonders how that will go!
For today though, Lazio look too big at 2.34 here. Lazio like to play an open game, but they create far more chances than Roma, and Roma give away too many chances. They are having a pretty poor season and have been going downhill for a number of seasons now. It will be very interesting to see what Jose Mourinho can do with them next season – perhaps it’s the type of project he needs at the moment to get his career back on track, but it could also go terribly wrong looking at the quality, or lack of, in the squad. Lazio should win here and although they have dropped out of the top four this season, they have still played good football and the 2.34 is too big.
The Ultra Says:
Three points win Lazio to beat Roma at 2.34 with BETDAQ Betting Exchange
