SATURDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews Saturday’s top European action with recommended BETDAQ bets.
HERTHA BERLIN V BOCHUM
2.30pm It’s another cracking weekend around Europe on BETDAQ Betting Exchange and we have some top class action from the Bundesliga and La Liga to enjoy on Saturday. We start the day with a huge relegation battle in the Bundesliga as Hertha Berlin host Bochum. Hertha Berlin sit nailed to the bottom of the table, but there is a way to safety. For that to happen, they need to win their final two games and hope Stuttgart, Schalke and Bochum all lose their final two games. The odds of all that happening is very unlikely of course, but they need to start with a win against Bochum. Hertha Berlin have been very poor this season, as their place in the table shows, but they have thrown in their worst run of the season at just the wrong time. Only one win from their last ten games has put them further adrift with each passing week. They did beat Stuttgart in their last home game however, and they face similar quality opposition here in Bochum. Home advantage might be the key here because both sides have been woeful away from home. Hertha Berlin have only managed five points and Bochum have only managed eight points – both of them have played 16 games.
Hertha Berlin come into the game as the favourites at 2.32 with Bochum 3.2 and the draw is 3.85. Bochum recorded a massive win last weekend over Augsburg, and that meant they started the weekend sitting just outside the bottom three. On the bare stats, Bochum have actually been playing worse football compared to Hertha Berlin this season but they are in a much better position to stay up. They have been very poor at the back conceding an average xG of 2.1 and they’ve only created an average of 1.2. Hertha Berlin are creating the same average, but they are conceding a smaller average at 1.7. To tell the truth, we’re going to have a low quality game of football here, but it’s going to be very tense and should be great viewing from that point of view. It’s hard to see past a very cagey game; both sides are limited going forward. I was surprised to see Under 2.5 goals trading as high as 2.33, and that definitely looks the value call to start the day.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 2.33 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

BAYERN MUNICH V RB LEIPZIG
5.30pm We stay in the Bundesliga next and we go from the bottom of the table to the top as Bayern Munich host RB Leipzig. It’s been an excellent title race in Germany this season, and it appears we’re going right to the wire which is fantastic. Dortmund might be kicking themselves for not taking advantage of Bayern being well below par this season. Bayern take a one point advantage into the final two games, and this will be their biggest challenge as they face an RB Leipzig side in good form. They play Koln away from home on the final day of the season next weekend. RB Leipzig have won five of their last six games, and they have been creating some decent chances too. They aren’t quite scoring goals for fun however, they have scored four goals in their last three games but their xG figures have been 1.63, 1.94 and 1.86. Bayern had a very easy fixture on paper against Schalke last weekend, and they hammered them 6-0 without much fuss – this will be a completely different level and it will be interesting to see how Bayern handle the pressure. It’s fair to say they haven’t been in this situation for a while in Germany; they usually have the title won by now!
Bayern are trading 1.55 with RB Leipzig 6.0 and the draw is 5.2. Upset wise, this is the weekend we might see drama in the title race. Dortmund are trading in the 1.4’s to beat Augsburg on Sunday, while both sides will be close to 1.3 to win on the final day. If there is going to be points dropped, it’s going to be this weekend. RB Leipzig are a challenge for Bayern, but it’s hard to see an upset here. Leipzig haven’t been fantastic away from home this season, there isn’t anything too negative in their form, but they aren’t as good away from home as they are at home. For example, they actually have the same amount of home points as Bayern – the eight point difference is Leipzig’s away form. Leipzig do have a good record against Bayern – they have got a result in four of the last seven Bundesliga meetings. I’m going to stay away from the match odds market because Both Teams To Score is way better value than the Bayern win at the same odds. We should have a very entertaining game here.
The Ultra Says:
Three points win Both Teams To Score at 1.55 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

BARCELONA V REAL SOCIEDAD
8pm We move over to La Liga to finish Saturday as Barcelona host Real Sociedad. Barcelona will be in party mode here after confirming their title win last weekend against Espanyol. They tried celebrating in the centre circle after the game, but the Espanyol fans weren’t having that – they got onto the pitch and Barcelona had to leave! Back at Camp Nou, they can take all the time they want to celebrate. It’s been a difficult few years for Barcelona, especially off the field, and you have to say that Xavi has done an excellent job – they were in a real mess when he took over. One wonders what will happen with the Messi situation during the summer; the reality is they can’t afford his wages but let’s wait and see. Real Sociedad should be celebrating too, however they dropped points last weekend against Girona so they only have a five point advantage in the race for the top four. Champions League football would be a massive result for Real Sociedad, especially considering how difficult it looked to actually crack that top four. Sevilla being so poor this season has opened the door.
Real Sociedad have a little more to play for here just to confirm the top four finish. They are in a strong position, but if Villarreal win against Girona and they lose here the gap will only be two points and that’s a nervous situation! Barcelona come into the game trading as the odds on favourites at 1.89 with Real Sociedad 4.7 and the draw is 3.85. Sociedad have been excellent this season, they fully deserve a top four finish, but away from home it’s hard to see them getting a result here. Barcelona have been fantastic this season, especially at home, and their average xG created a very high 2.3! We should have an open game however as Barcelona can entertain their home fans after winning the title. An early goal could see an excellent game here, I expect Sociedad to be a little cagey to start with, but they have created enough this season to suggest that they can score at some stage. Both Teams To Score is worth backing at 1.88.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Both Teams To Score at 1.88 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
