GLADBACH V BAYER LEVERKUSEN

5.30pm We have a cracking Saturday from Europe on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE this week! We have action from the Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1 to enjoy with three very interesting markets. We start the day in the Bundesliga as Gladbach host Bayer Leverkusen. Both sides would have been unhappy with the 2021/22 season, and they’ll be hoping for vast improvement. Bayer Leverkusen started their season with a bang last weekend with a win over RB Leipzig, and that was a hugely positive result as they look to get back into those Champions League places. Gladbach finished in the Champions League spots in 2019/20, but since then they have been very poor – they actually haven’t saw European football since and they have turned into a mid-table side. They’ve finished in tenth for two seasons in a row, and surely they will have the fire in the belly to compete for a Europa League spot. Whether or not they have the class to do that is another matter!

We have an interesting market here. Bayer Leverkusen are favourites, just marginally odds on at the time of writing as they are trading 1.99. I’m sure they will have their layers away from home – last year Gladbach had most of their problems away from home and they were a top six club at home. They only managed one win away from home all season which was the worst record of any side – they did manage more points than Bochum and Hertha Berlin, but they were still in the bottom three away from home. Gladbach, although average, were entertaining. They play a very open game with chances at both ends of the pitch. Their average xG conceded last season was a high 1.76, and they created an average of 1.47. Bayer Leverkusen also liked to play an open game, but they kept things a little tighter at the back. I couldn’t put anyone off the 1.99, but the way these two play it’s hard not to see goals. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.53 and that looks a cracking bet to start the day.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.53 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

VERONA V ROMA

7.45pm We move to Serie A next as Jose Mourinho’s Roma travel to take on Verona. Serie A returned last weekend and Roma are already on the backfoot having been held to a 2-2 draw at home against Salernitana. You have to say that was a disappointing start to the season considering how far down the table Salernitana finished last season. On paper, Roma have another “easy” fixture here – Verona finished in 17th last season and beat Spezia in a relegation playoff because they finished on the same amount of points – a new Serie A rule. They had huge issues going forward last season; they only managed to create an average xG of 1.05 and they actually scored less than a goal per game. I was very surprised to see Roma trading as high as 1.93 here when I clicked into the market. I thought they would be much shorter than that. Verona didn’t have strong home form last season either – they finished in the bottom five of the home form table, winning six of their 19 games. Obviously Roma did drop plenty of points away from home last season, especially towards the end of the season so I can understand why many punters want to lay them.

I just can’t have Roma as big as 1.93 here. They were tight at the back last season and good going forward. They started the season on fire but given they reached the final of the Europa League their form went a bit downhill in Serie A. Possibly it was classic Jose Mourinho focusing on one tournament – that didn’t pay off either as they lost to Sevilla on penalties. Verona started their season with a win over Empoli which is decent, but it was a very close game that could have gone either way – a draw would have been a fair result looking at the stats. Looking at the xG figures, Roma can consider themselves unlucky with the 2-2 draw last weekend, and they beat Verona twice last weekend. I’m not going to go mad with the staking, it’s not quite a Max Bet but the 1.93 is worth a very confident bet at the odds.

The Ultra Says:
Four points win Roma to beat Verona at 1.93 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

PSG V LENS

8pm We go to Ligue 1 to finish an excellent Saturday around Europe as PSG host Lens. The news and drama off the pitch at PSG never stops, however I doubt many at PSG are unhappy to see the back of Neymar who is now in Saudi Arabia. That league seems to be a match made in heaven for Neymar who has been all about the money for a number of years now. He was one of the first “poster boys” for making a move just for the money when he left Barcelona at their peak to move to PSG. Whisper it, but things could be more interesting than usual in France this season. PSG have opened their season with two draws against Lorient and Toulouse. We landed a cracking lay at 1.23 against Lorient too. They aren’t trading that short here – they are 1.62 at the time of writing with Lens 5.8 and the draw is 4.5. Lens, on paper, should be a very strong test for PSG but they have started the season poorly too. Only one draw from their opening two games leaves them on the backfoot as well.

There was only one point between the sides at the end of Ligue 1 last season however, Lens will be kicking themselves for a poor start considering PSG have seemingly opened the door to a title race. It looked like PSG had the Toulouse game under control thanks to Mbappe, but they were hit with the equaliser in the 87th minute. They still need to do massive work at the back and in midfield this season. We saw a lot of drama with the fans off the pitch last season, and I would suggest they are happy for the stars to go and start afresh I think. Lens have only beaten PSG twice before, but one of those was last season and they have picked up a lot of draws. PSG have a less than 50% win rate against Lens, which makes me feel the 1.62 is worth laying. There’s just so much going on at PSG at the moment and they clearly aren’t at their best. I’m going to keep stakes small, but I’m happy to take on PSG again.

The Ultra Says:
One point lay (liability) PSG to beat Lens at 1.62 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
