SATURDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews Saturday’s action with recommended BETDAQ bets… and for starters we have the latest El Clasico as Barcelona host Real Madrid at 3.15pm.
BARCELONA V REAL MADRID
3.15pm Some Saturday’s are better than others in Europe, and this is one of the better ones on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! We have some top quality action from La Liga, the Bundesliga and Serie A but we start the day with the biggest fixture of them all – El Clasico. Things are perfectly set up heading into this tie; Real Madrid start the weekend topping the table with 25 points and Barcelona are just one point behind. Both sides have been in exceptional form; they are the only two sides with an average xG created of over 2.0 and they both have decent figures at the back too. Barcelona actually have the best record at the back in La Liga this season; their average xG conceded is only 1.16 which is the best defensive record in the league at the moment. We have a very open market here; Barcelona are the favourites at 2.56 with Real Madrid 2.86 and the draw is 3.75 at the time of writing. Home advantage might not be important here, we are in a new location while the Camp Nou is getting upgraded. The away side won three of the five meetings in 2023. Real Madrid even won 4-0 at Camp Nou in the Copa del Rey!
Jude Bellingham has been in exceptional form, and he was on the mark again midweek in the Champions League. How he plays here will frame the Real Madrid performance in my opinion. We generally see goals when these two meet; Over 2.5 goals has been the outcome in 70% of the meetings. That’s trading 1.66 and I have to say that’s an appealing bet. In my opinion, nothing stands out in the match odds market here – both sides have been exceptional this season and it’s hard to pick a hole in either. Barcelona deserve to be marginal favourites, even if we aren’t at the Camp Nou. Both Teams To Score is definely an option at 1.58 too – it’s eight ticks shorter than Over 2.5 goals however, and on balance I just prefer the goals bet. Although this is such an important game, we never really get a cagey game – there’s always a spark somewhere and it all kicks off from there. I would expect another end-to-end game between these two and plenty of chances created at both ends.
The Ultra Says:
Three points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.66 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

RB LEIPZIG V KOLN
5.30pm Next we move to the Bundesliga as RB Leipzig host Koln. RB Leipzig have been a little off the pace at the start of the season, but they are only five points behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen at the start of the weekend. Leverkusen actually beat them 3-2 on the opening weekend of the season. It would be nice to have some spice in the Bundesliga season again – last season had fantastic drama! It’s hard to see another side pushing Bayern Munich as much as Dortmund did; sure they had it in their hands on the final day and let it slip. RB Leipzig will be focusing on finishing in the top four; their under-lining numbers aren’t even close to a title challenge and fourth spot should be their aim. They have been fantastic going forward this season; their average xG created is 1.43 but they are in the top four when it comes to defence. Koln have had a terrible start to the season, and start this weekend sitting in the relegation playoff spot. They finally got their first win of the season last weekend at home to Gladbach and they’ll be hoping that kickstarts their season.
Koln have been playing a very open game this season, and that has cost them at times. They are marginally creating more chances than they are conceding though. Their average xG created is 1.46, just 0.02 over their conceded. Although you would worry about only a 0.02 difference it’s basically mid-table performance levels and you wouldn’t be surprised to see them climb the table as the season goes on. For the time being though they are in trouble, and they have been struggling to create chances away from home too. They look much more comfortable in front of their own fans, and the 1.48 on RB Leipzig looks a nice bet here. Koln will give them plenty of chances, and RB Leipzig are usually very strong at home – I would have them closer to 1.4 than 1.5 to be honest.
The Ultra Says:
Three points win RB Leipzig to beat Koln at 1.48 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

JUVENTUS V VERONA
7.45pm We move over to Serie A to finish a cracking Saturday as Juventus host Verona. Juventus have made a very positive start to the season, and they’ll be fully expected to win here. They are heavy odds on favourites – currently trading 1.39 with Verona at 10.0 and the draw is 5.3. Juventus are starting the weekend just two points off league leaders Inter Milan and they could easily end this weekend sitting top of the table. Inter Milan play Roma tomorrow while we also have Napoli v AC Milan. Napoli have already dropped plenty of points this season, and I would expect a fairly open title battle this season. Looking at the under-lining numbers, Napoli are still the best side in Serie A – results just haven’t gone their way at the start of the season. Juventus have been reasonably solid – their average xG created is 1.44 which puts them in the top six performance level wise and they are in the top four at the back. We really have a gulf in class between the sides here when you look at the Verona figures. I feel this game might be a case of how many goals can Juventus score rather than will they win.
Verona are only one of three sides averaging an xG created of under 1.0 this season in Serie A. All three sides start the weekend beside each other in the table, but they aren’t sitting in the bottom three. Verona are two points off the bottom three at the moment; their problems just aren’t up front either. They are in the bottom four for chances conceded as well. There isn’t much going well for Verona at the moment, and Juventus away is hardly a good fixture when you’re not playing well! I feel we’ll see a comfortable Juventus win here, and I like two bets. I couldn’t put anyone off either Both Teams Not To Score at 1.73 or Juventus -1.5 goals at 2.14. I have to say I was surprised to see Juventus as big as 2.14 on the handicap; Verona have been poor at the back and I can see Juventus keeping a clean sheet too. It depends what bet you are more comfortable with as I feel both are cracking value, however I’m going to opt for the handicap bet at 2.14.
The Ultra Says:
Three points win Juventus -1.5 goals to beat Verona at 2.14 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
