SATURDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews BARCELONA v LAS PALMAS, DORTMUND v BAYERN MUNICH and REAL VALLADOLID v ATLETICO MADRID all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
BARCELONA V LAS PALMAS
1pm It’s a fantastic Saturday from Europe on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! We have some top class action from La Liga and the Bundesliga – no doubt the highlight is Der Klassiker between Dortmund and Bayern Munich, but we kick off the action with Barcelona hosting Las Palmas in La Liga. This is a game that nearly all football fans will be expecting Barcelona to win easily, and they come into the game as the red-hot favourites. Barcelona are trading as short as 1.19 with Las Palmas 16.5 and the draw is 9.8 at the time of writing – that 1.19 is one of the shortest prices around Europe this weekend! There is a huge gulf in class between the sides so you can’t blame the market, however Barcelona do come into this game under a little pressure. A loss to Real Sociedad and a draw against Celta Vigo has meant their lead at the top of the table has been reduced to just four points, and Real Madrid have a game in hand too. This has been the first little bump in the road for Barcelona and Hansi Flick given the games were back-to-back, but this is an ideal fixture to steady the ship.
Las Palmas are coming into this game in a big relegation battle – they start the weekend sitting just outside the bottom three, but the two sides below them have games in hand. For Valencia, they come into this matchday with two games in hand – although they would have played on Friday night before this fixture. Although Las Palmas stayed in La Liga last season, the red flags were there in their under-lining numbers; they had the lowest attacking figure. This season they have created more, the attacking figure is still low at 1.24 but it’s an improvement on last season. Where they have gone backwards is at the back; last season they were solid, this season not. They are in the bottom three on defensive figures, and I feel this is a case of how many goals can Barcelona score rather than will they win. The 1.5 goal handicap is a tempting bet on Barcelona, but I’m going to aim higher – the 2.5 goal handicap is trading 2.13 and that looks a nice position to start the day.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Barcelona -2.5 goals to beat Las Palmas at 2.13 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

DORTMUND V BAYERN MUNICH
5.30pm Next we move over to the Bundesliga for the highlight of the day as Dortmund host Bayern Munich in the latest Der Klassiker! Unfortunately for Dortmund, this isn’t a top of the table clash as it has been in the past – they are already ten points behind Bayern at the top of the table. I know it’s still early days with only eleven matchdays in the Bundesliga, but in my opinion the title is already in the bag for Bayern. Bayer Leverkusen have been dropping a lot of points – they have a nine point lead over them too. I just can’t see anyone closing that gap, especially considering there’s such a big gulf in class between the top sides and the rest of the league in the Bundesliga. We should have an entertaining game here though, we generally do when these two meet! Both sides recorded important wins midweek in the Champions League, especially Bayern because they were on the backfoot heading into that clash with PSG. It’s no surprise that Bayern come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.76 with Dortmund 4.8 and the draw is 4.4 at the time of writing.
The market is also expecting goals – Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.42. The last meeting saw Under 2.5 goals, but generally we see plenty of action here. Nine of the last ten meetings have had Over 2.5 goals collect – I couldn’t put anyone off that bet to be honest. Both sides have been in good form in front of goal this season too – Bayern have an average xG created of over 2.0 this season which is obviously a very impressive figure. Dortmund aren’t creating that level of chances – their average xG created is 1.43 which is still the fifth best in the Bundesliga, but that is a reflection of where they are in the table. They are over-performing in front of goal though, and with home advantage you’d expect them to find the net at some stage. Both Teams To Score is trading 1.48, and once again I couldn’t put anyone off that bet. However, while I like the goal option bets here, I feel they don’t offer the same level of value as the Bayern win at 1.76. They are playing much better football compared to Dortmund this season, and they are worth backing at the odds.

Two points win Bayern Munich to beat Dortmund at 1.76 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

REAL VALLADOLID V ATLETICO MADRID
8pm We move back to La Liga to finish Saturday as Real Valladolid host Atletico Madrid. We have an interesting market here – Atletico Madrid are the odds on favourites as you would expect, but obviously they have had their issues away from home. Atletico Madrid are trading 1.59 with Real Valladolid 7.0 and the draw is 4.2 at the time of writing. Just when you thought Barcelona and Real Madrid were pulling away a little at the top of the La Liga table, Atletico have put together three wins in a row to get themselves back into the mix. I don’t really see them actually challenging for the title, but you never know! Real Valladolid are under immense pressure as they sit at the bottom of the table – they aren’t far away points wise which is good for them, but their under-lining numbers make for poor reading. They have the third worst attacking figure with an average xG created of only 1.01, and the second worst defensive figure with an average xG conceded of 1.6. Themselves and Espanyol are the two worst performing sides in La Liga this season; no surprise that they sit in the bottom two.
This game is there for the taking from an Atletico point of view. A casual football fan might actually be very confident on an Atletico win here with just a quick look at the table and recent results. While I do feel that the 1.59 offers some value on the away win, there are concerns to be aware about. Atletico only have an average xG created of 1.27 this season, which is a mid-table La Liga figure – they just aren’t creating a huge volume of chances, and it’s hard to be very confident on a side playing like that in any game. I know Real Valladolid are a very poor side, but they could sneak a 0-0 draw here. Atletico have been very solid at the back, and that is what sees them so high up the table compared to their attacking figure. With Valladolid there for the taking, I do feel that the 1.59 is worth backing on Atletico, but this is definitely a game for reasonably limited stakes. Two points is enough on this one to finish a fantastic Saturday!
