REAL MADRID V ESPANYOL

3.15pm We have a cracking Saturday from Europe on Betdaq Betting Exchange this week! We have the leaders of La Liga and Serie A both in action, and I’m sure the Real Madrid and Juventus bet will be a popular double this weekend. We kick off the day in La Liga as Real Madrid host Espanyol – it’s been business as usual for Real so far this season with four wins from four games. All games that they should have won on paper, and you’d say the same about this fixture too. Probably the most important thing is Barcelona have dropped points with a draw against Rayo Vallecano, so they have a two point lead at the moment. As you would expect given the gulf in class between the sides here, Real Madrid come into the game as the red-hot favourites – Los Blancos are trading 1.23 with Espanyol 15.5 and the draw is 7.6 at the time of writing. Espanyol had a huge amount of red flags in their performance levels coming into this season – they finished last season with the second worst attacking figure and the second worst defensive figure. They were heavily involved in the relegation battle, and you would have thought they’d be in trouble this season.

They’ve had an excellent start to the season results wise though – three wins and a draw from their four games leaves them level on points with Barcelona! They could call this fixture a “top of the table clash” which would surely be the banter angle! They are massively over-performing compared to their xG figures, but from an Espanyol point of view every point matters and this start is fantastic. Once again though, the red flags are there. Their average xG conceded is 1.79 which is a very high figure – obviously they have been getting away with that for the time being. Bringing an xG figure like that to an away fixture against Real Madrid always spells trouble though, and I do feel Real can cover the handicap on the way to winning here. They are trading 1.63 -1.5 goals which looks very nice value to start the day. Real are creating an xG of over 2.0 on average this season, and given Espanyol are conceding close to that, the 1.63 makes a lot of appeal.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Real Madrid -1.5 goals to beat Espanyol at 1.63 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

VERONA V JUVENTUS

5pm We move over to Serie A to finish Saturday from Europe as Verona host Juventus. It’s been a case of so far so good for Juventus as they come into this weekend with three wins from three games; they recorded a massive 4-3 win over Inter Milan last weekend. Obviously everyone in the club would have been buzzing about that, especially with the winner coming in injury time after being 3-2 down heading into the final ten minute. It probably laid down a marker that they can say that they’ll be involved in the title race this season too; they come into this weekend six points ahead of Inter Milan! In recent seasons, Juventus have struggled to create good quality chances and they have drawn a lot of games – they were unbeaten for a large part of last season but were never really in the title race. The early signs this season are good, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves! On paper, this is a game that Juventus should be winning, and it’s no surprise to see them come into the game as the odds on favourites. Juventus are trading 1.6 with Verona 7.6 and the draw is 4.0 at the time of writing.

Verona weren’t too far away from the relegation battle last season, and they come into this weekend under pressure. Two draws from their opening three games leaves them just outside the bottom three; they have created some decent chances to be honest but they were hammered 4-0 by Lazio before the International Break. Juventus have a good record against Verona – they’ve won six of the last seven meetings, with the other result being a 2-2 draw. I have to say, although Juventus are in a very good spot coming into this game, the 1.6 does feel a little short in my opinion. It’s hard to make the argument that they should be massively shorter; especially considering they struggled in front of goal last season. I do feel Verona can make this game a little awkward for Juventus, and Under 2.5 goals looks a nice option at 1.73 for a small investment.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Under 2.5 goals at 1.73 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
