SATURDAY IN EUROPE: Our football tipster The Ultra previews Saturday’s La Liga and Bundesliga matches between ELCHE v REAL MADRID, UNION BERLIN v BAYERN MUNICH, EINTRACHT FRANKFURT v RB LEIPZIG and BARCELONA v ALAVES all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

ELCHE V REAL MADRID

1pm We have a fantastic Saturday in Europe this week with plenty of top sides in action! All football bets are 0% Commission on BETDAQ Betting Exchange too, we have an excellent day ahead! We start the day earlier than usual at 1pm with Elche hosting Real Madrid – we’ll have some odd kick off times this weekend with Champions League commitments for sides next week. It’s been a hectic week in La Liga already, and it’s also been a dramatic week. Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona all failed to win – Barcelona even lost their manager. Despite being below their best this season, Real are still in a good place. Barcelona won’t challenge for La Liga this season, and Atletico haven’t been at their best either. Real are going to start the weekend three points behind Real Sociedad at the top of the table, however they have a game in hand.

Elche are one of the sides that will be involved in a relegation battle this season, so it’s fair to say that this is a must win game for Real. There should be no excuses, and they should be able to outclass this Elche side. I feel the best Elche can hope for is a draw, and although Osasuna held Real to a 0-0 draw midweek – Osasuna have been playing some very good football this season. It was that reason why I recommended a lay of Real at 1.35 midweek. Today I am happy to completely switch and back Real at 1.48. For me they should be trading around 1.4 here – Elche consistently create a low xG figure and they also concede too many chances. Real are simply too big to ignore.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Real Madrid to beat Elche at 1.48 with BETDAQ Exchange.

UNION BERLIN V BAYERN MUNICH

2.30pm Next we move to the Bundesliga as Union Berlin host the Champions Bayern Munich. Bayern suffered an almost unbelievable 5-0 loss midweek in the German Cup against Gladbach. I know Bayern throw in the odd crazy performance from time to time, but fair to say that was a jaw dropping result! Bayern conceded three goals in the opening 20 minutes and they looked well off the pace – they didn’t exactly play the second XI either like we see from Premier League sides in England. It’s hard to know what to make of that performance, but I do wonder did they just take their eye off the prize as it was only a Cup game. That wouldn’t be like Bayern to be fair, but it happens from time to time. Even Manchester City got knocked out of the English League Cup this week for the first time in years!

The market is expecting Bayern to jump straight back to winning ways here as they are trading as short at 1.35 at the time of writing. That looks a little short to me. Even totally leaving aside the midweek carnage, Union Berlin are having a very good season. They are sitting in the top five to start the weekend, and they have only lost one league game this season. I know it’s probably just a strong start as they are your average mid-table Bundesliga side, but they will be a decent test for Bayern. The Union Berlin performances have also largely backed up their results too. In reality, Bayern will probably outclass this Union Berlin side but I feel the odds are all wrong here. I felt the same when Real Madrid played Osasuna midweek and we landed a nice 1.35 lay. The 1.35 lay is worth a small investment again here.

The Ultra Says:
One point lay (liability) Bayern Munich to beat Union Berlin at 1.35 with BETDAQ Exchange.

EINTRACHT FRANKFURT V RB LEIPZIG

5.30pm We stay in the Bundesliga for our next game as we have a fascinating clash between Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig. These two have started their seasons very poorly by their standards, but I’m sure Eintracht Frankfurt aren’t far away from hitting the panic button looking at the table. They are sitting just outside the relegation playoff spot and only have eight points from nine games. What a drop that has been from finishing in fifth last season. They will definitely miss out on European football for next season, and we’re likely to see a host of changes in the transfer window during the summer because of that. The drop has been so quick and so dramatic. RB Leipzig have started the season slowly too, but they have worked their way into sixth from hanging around mid-table.

It’s quite easy to explain the RB Leipzig dip in-form – they were raided by Bayern Munich during the summer! It’s also remarkable that Eintracht Frankfurt actually beat Bayern Munich 2-1 away from home – imagine that being three of your eight points! They somehow beat Bayern, although it was very lucky looking at xG, and then lose to the likes of Bochum. Frankfurt’s problem is that they are conceding too many chances – they gave away an xG of 2.89 to Bochum and 2.49 to Hertha Berlin for example. They are clearly too good to be in a relegation fight, and I’m sure they will come up the table soon. The RB Leipzig back is very tempting at 1.84, but this game just screams goals. Both sides have been giving away chances for fun, and we’re going to have a very open game here. Over 2.5 goals looks very good value at 1.55.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.55 with BETDAQ Exchange.

BARCELONA V ALAVES

8pm We move to back La Liga to finish a wonderful Saturday as Barcelona take on Alaves. Barcelona have had quite the week – the fans reacted angrily after they lost 2-1 in El Clasico last weekend, and then they went to lost 1-0 to Rayo Vallecano midweek. After that game they sacked their manager Ronald Koeman and now it looks highly likely they are going to appoint an unexperienced Xavi. One wonder if this is the right time to bring in Xavi – I know he is a club legend but things are pretty bad at the moment. The one thing about giving Xavi the job however is he will be given time – by the board and also by the fans. Ironically, possibly typical football drama you might say, is that Barcelona didn’t play badly this week. Their created a marginally bigger xG than Real Madrid in El Clasico and then they created an xG of 3.14 against Rayo Vallecano midweek. The fact they lost and failed to score was just unbelievably unlucky.

The reality is though that something had to give. I feel the board took the easy option sacking the manager. It’s their fault they got into this situation and had to let Messi go during the summer anyway. They should bounced back to winning ways here because they should be much better than Alaves – however I wouldn’t be backing them at 1.31! Alaves have won their last two games and surely come here thinking that this is a brilliant time to play Barcelona. Those two games were against relegation battlers however though, and you’d assume Barcelona can deal with Alaves here. I feel Barcelona are too short to get involved in the match odds market, and Alaves have been creating some good chances lately. This is a game for small stakes given the situation at Barcelona, but Both Teams To Score looks good value at 1.98 here.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Both Teams To Score at 1.98 with BETDAQ Exchange.
