LA LIGA/BUNDESLIGA SATURDAY: The Ultra previews GIRONA v BARCELONA, BAYERN MUNICH v EINTRACHT FRANKFURT and GETAFE v REAL BETIS all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
GIRONA V BARCELONA
3.15pm We have another cracking weekend around Europe ahead on BETDAQ Betting Exchange this week! We have Barcelona and Bayern Munich both in action on Saturday, and we kick the action off in La Liga as Barcelona travel to take on Girona. Atletico Madrid have been off the pace in La Liga this season, so the title looks a straight shootout between Barcelona and Real Madrid. Despite losing El Clasico and dropping points in their first game back after the World Cup, Barcelona have a three point advantage at the top of the table. Real Madrid have the FIFA Club World Cup coming up too at the start of February, so Barcelona might be able to sneak a few points further ahead to really put the pressure on. It’s fair to say that while Barcelona have got the job done in their last two games, they haven’t really played well – they conceded an xG of over double what they created away to Atletico Madrid, and then only finished with an xG of 0.76 at home to Getafe last weekend. Even more worrying, they conceded an xG of 1.77 and Getafe are involved in the relegation battle this season. Overall this season, Barcelona have been back to their brilliant best but you’d definitely have to worry about their last two games.
Girona sit in mid-table in La Liga, which they will be delighted with considering they only finished sixth in the Segunda last season and came through the playoffs. Things aren’t comfortable for them though because they started the weekend just four points away from the bottom three – there’s a lot of clubs involved in the relegation battle this season! It’s fair to say that results against Barcelona won’t make or break their season! Looking at the last two Barcelona performances, I wouldn’t exactly be very confident on them here and it’s hard to make the case that they should be shorter than their current 1.63. I can forgive the Atletico performance, but the Getafe performance is a big worry. With Barcelona conceding a lot of chances, but not actually conceding a goal, I feel there’s value in Both Teams To Score at 1.83 here. Girona have been creating a lot this season, and their average xG going forward is high at 1.7 so they can find the net at some stage here.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Both Teams To Score at 1.83 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

BAYERN MUNICH V EINTRACHT FRANKFURT
5.30pm Next we move to the Bundesliga as the German Champions Bayern Munich host Eintracht Frankfurt. Bayern haven’t been at their best this season and dropped more points than usual, but they are still sitting top of the table. Indeed, it’s hard to see them ever not winning the Bundesliga at this stage! I felt we might see a reasonably close title race towards the start of the season but they produced a good run going into the World Cup and had a decent lead with the others dropping points. They have resumed their season with two draws though, and Union Berlin are back to within three points. To be honest it’s hard to see a “close” title race, but you never know! Bayern were trading at very short odds here last weekend to beat Koln and they could only manage a 1-1 draw. The market feels Bayern will get back to winning ways here though, with the home side trading 1.35 at the time of writing. Eintracht Frankfurt had to settle for a draw last weekend away to Freiburg, and they were lucky too as they were outplayed, but they are a top four side and could easily make life difficult for Bayern if they aren’t on their A game. With Bayern trading so short, I’m happy to stay out of the match odds market here.
Despite the two 1-1’s as Bayern resumed their season, their overall performance has been jam packed with goal. Their average xG created per game in the Bundesliga is 2.4, and there’s an average of 3.9 goals per game that Bayern are involved in this season. Eintracht Frankfurt can’t live with that attacking stat, but they have an average of 3.6 goals per game they are involved in. It’s no surprise that the market is expecting plenty of goals here – both sides like to play a very open and attacking game, but I feel there’s still value in Over 3.5 goals at 1.87. I can’t see Eintracht Frankfurt sitting back here, especially if they go behind early and that will lead to a very end-to-end game with plenty of chances at both ends of the pitch. It’s hard to see past goals here!
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Over 3.5 goals at 1.87 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

GETAFE V REAL BETIS
8pm We move back to La Liga to finish the action on Saturday as Getafe host Real Betis. We have two sides here in desperate need of a win as they come into this game under pressure for different reasons. Getafe played really well last weekend against Barcelona, but they still lost 1-0 and that means they started the weekend sitting just outside the relegation zone but on the same points as Real Valladolid in 18th. They are definitely in the relegation mix after three losses in a row, and one of those games came against Sevilla who sat in the bottom three at the time. Sevilla being “involved” in the relegation battle rather than their usual spot towards the top of the table has definitely opened things up for the European spots. Sides like Real Betis are in line to benefit, especially considering Real Betis finished fifth last season and won the Copa del Rey too. However, they lost ground heading into the World Cup with a draw and a loss, and they have resumed their season losing ground too. They have only recorded one win from three La Liga games, but they have put in three poor performances. They were very lucky to beat Ray Vallecano away from home.
Obviously you have to view this game as a bit of a gulf in class between the sides – Getafe are trying to avoid relegation and Real Betis are trying to claim that top four spot. However, it’s not a surprise to see a very open market here. Real Betis have resumed their season with xG figures of 0.43, 0.84 and 0.93. Three very average performances, and although Getafe lost last weekend to Barcelona they kept them to an xG of 0.76 while creating 1.77 and that came away from home too. They were a little unlucky as well to not pick up a draw here against Espanyol before the Barcelona game and while I fully accept we have two sides at the opposite end of the table here, the Getafe performances have been much stronger recently. Getafe are very limited going forward, and given how little Real Betis have created lately I think we’ll see a low scoring cagey affair here. I quite like the 0-0 option here at 7.2 in the Correct Score market – I couldn’t put anyone off Unders, but 7.2 is definitely worth a small investment.
The Ultra Says:
One point win 0-0 Correct Score at 7.2 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
