LA LIGA/SERIE A SATURDAY: The Ultra previews Saturday’s games between VILLARREAL v REAL MADRID, JUVENTUS v UDINESE and MONZA v INTER MILAN all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
VILLARREAL V REAL MADRID
3.15pm We’re nearly back into the full swing of things in Europe on BETDAQ Betting Exchange, although we are still waiting on the Bundesliga to return. We still have some top class action on Saturday to enjoy with Real Madrid, Juventus and Inter Milan all in action. We kick the action off in La Liga with Villarreal hosting Real Madrid. Both sides returned with a win last weekend, and we should have a good quality game here. Villarreal have had to deal with Unai Emery leaving for Aston Villa in the Premier League, but they should be a tough challenge for Real Madrid here with home advantage. The yellow submarine are usually tough to beat at home – indeed the last five meetings between the sides in La Liga here have finished with a draw. That’s not to say they weren’t entertaining games, because three of those draws finished 2-2! I’m sure Real Madrid will be a popular bet on Saturday afternoon because they are trading odds against at 2.12, and it’s not often they start games at prices like that in non El Clasico La Liga games, but you’d have to think twice before backing them here given their record.
With Barcelona drawing on their return to action, Real Madrid start this weekend level on points with Barcelona at the top of La Liga. It’s been a wonderful back-and-forth battle so far, and I’m sure it will go right down to the wire this season. It’s been good to see Barcelona back to their best, if only to challenge Real Madrid. After dropping points going into the World Cup, Real Madrid will be keen to put a winning run together and you can’t fault their under-lining numbers. Their average xG this season is 2.4 per La Liga game which is clearly impressive, and they have been reasonably solid at the back too. Villarreal have been creating some decent chances as well, and while I couldn’t put anyone off a small bet on Real at 2.12, Over 2.5 goals looks the best option here at 1.69. I’d expect this game to be a very open affair with plenty of chances at both ends of the pitch – we could even see another 2-2 draw!
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.69 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

JUVENTUS V UDINESE
5pm We move to Serie A next as Juventus host Udinese. This should be a cracker, although Udinese have slipped down the table recently Juventus haven’t been fully firing this season. They have been “getting the job done” and picking up wins, but it’s been more of a case of them grinding out wins rather than blowing teams away with stellar performances. After losing their opening game of the season to AC Milan, Udinese went on a run that saw them in the mix for a top four finish. They beat Roma 4-0 and Inter Milan 3-1, but after beating Verona at the start of October they haven’t managed a win since. They returned to action with a 1-1 draw against Empoli in which they played decent football, and in hindsight the World Cup probably came at a good time for them. They weren’t creating much, especially away from home, and they might struggle in that regard here. Juventus come into the game as the odds on favourites, and while they sit in third place at the moment you could hardly call them reliable. Their 1-0 win over Cremonese during the week was a classic example of this – they made their backers sweat a lot waiting until the 91st minute to find the winning goal.
Juventus come into this game as the odds on favourites, they are currently 1.82 at the time of writing, a very similar price as Cremonese midweek. They have home advantage this time around, but Udinese will be a much tougher test in my opinion. I really wouldn’t be rushing to back Juventus at these odds – they just haven’t fired this season and you can see that looking at their under-lining numbers – an average xG of 1.4 this season just isn’t good enough for a top club like Juventus. Udinese have a very similar figure for example at 1.3, and there really isn’t much between these looking at the stats. I’m happy to stay away from the match odds market here, and Under 2.5 goals makes a lot of appeal at 1.91. Either side has been creating a lot up front, and they have both been solid at the back. I can’t see Udinese attacking much, and Juventus have clearly found it difficult to break down sides when they sit back. We can land another Unders bet in a Juventus game.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.91 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

MONZA V INTER MILAN
7.45pm We stay in Serie A to finish the day as Monza host Inter Milan. After grinding out a 1-0 win midweek over league leaders Napoli, Inter Milan could have asked for a better return to action. They still started the weekend sitting eight points behind Napoli so their task in the title battle is pretty massive, but anything bar a win here with home advantage would have closed the door on their title bid. Let’s wait and see do Napoli handle the pressure of having a big early lead. From an Inter Milan point of view, they got back into the top four – they had went into the World Cup sitting in fifth – and they will see this as a good chance to put back-to-back wins together. Monza started the weekend sitting down in 15th and they won’t be too unhappy with that position. It looks like the bottom three are a little adrift in Serie A, and Monza’s main goal this season would have been just staying in Serie A. Inter Milan no doubt come into the game as the clear favourites – they are trading 1.6 at the time of writing and I have to say that price stands out here. There’s a gulf in class between the sides, and I felt we’d see Inter around the 1.5 mark rather than 1.6.
Although Inter Milan went into the World Cup sitting outside the top four, their under-lining numbers were still good. They are creating very close to two goals per game and only conceding one – you can’t really ask for better than that to be honest. Monza clearly haven’t got the same stats, but I would be more worried about them going forward. They are only creating one goal per game, which isn’t a good enough figure to deal with a side like Inter. I would expect to see Monza sit back here and play for a 0-0, but I can also see Inter Milan grinding them down for the win eventually. They aren’t quite a Max Bet at the odds, but they are a very confident one and I’m very happy with the 1.6.
The Ultra Says:
Four points win Inter Milan to beat Monza at 1.6 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
