TURKEY V WALES

5pm It’s a quieter weekend compared to usual on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE with International action, but we do have some huge games from the Nations League. We have two fixtures that will very likely decide who gets promoted in Group B4 and who is heading into the Quarter-Finals from Group A3. We kick off the day in Group B as Turkey host Wales, and although this is going to be an exceptionally tough trip for Wales, the pressure is on to get a result given they come into the game two points behind Turkey. These two are clear at the top of the Group – Wales are four points ahead of Iceland who they host in Cardiff next week – so whoever loses out is heading into a promotion playoff at least. Wales have been bouncing between an A Group and a B Group – to be honest they are very similar to the Scotland situation this season in the sense that they aren’t good enough to compete with the sides in an A Group but they are stronger than most sides in a B Group. At the end of the day, the Nations League is all about your ranking heading in the qualification for the next Euros so it isn’t too bad to be bouncing between the two top tiers.

Turkey come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.77 with Wales 5.7 and the draw is 3.8 at the time of writing. These two sides know each other very well at this stage – they were in the same Euro 2024 qualifying Group which Turkey topped over Croatia and went into Euro 2024 as a lot of peoples “dark horses” – they were very entertaining to watch and played a very open game. They beat Wales 2-0 here in qualifying, then the sides drew 1-1 in Wales before drawing again 0-0 in this Nations League. That’s the only time Turkey have dropped points, and they are clearly a very strong side these days. Wales have struggled to keep clean sheets recently, and that has got them into some difficult situations. We have enough evidence recently that Turkey are a better side than Wales, and with home advantage I feel Turkey can put the question of who wins this Group to bed here. They are worth backing at 1.77.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Turkey to beat Wales at 1.77 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

NETHERLANDS V HUNGARY

7.45pm We move over to Group A3 to finish the Nations League action on Saturday as Netherlands host Hungary. Germany have been top dogs in this Group – they are unbeaten with ten points and they are heading into the Quarter-Finals. Who will join them will come down to this fixture, with Netherlands and Hungary both on five points. Netherlands will have delighted to have home advantage for such an important, and they also have the better fixture list too – they are away to Bosnia and Herzegovina on the final matchday while Hungary will have to host Germany. That being said, Germany will likely be certain of top spot at that stage so they could opt to see some fresh faces. There’s a lot at stake here, and obviously Hungary have made a lot of progress in recent years – they finished ahead of Germany and England in the last Nations League! It’s not a surprise to see Netherlands odds on here with home advantage. Netherlands come into the game as the red-hot favourites at 1.39 with Hungary 9.6 and the draw is 5.5 at the time of writing. The sides played out a 1-1 draw when they met earlier in the Group, Netherlands needed a late goal for that.

I have to say, although I expect the Netherlands to get the job done here, the 1.39 doesn’t exactly jump off the page as great value. It’s not a price that I would be rushing to put in my weekend Acca anyway! That being said, Hungary have been a little disappointing in this Group compared to the last Nations League. They got hammered 5-0 by Germany away from home, and then were held to a 0-0 draw at home against Bosnia and Herzegovina – that was actually the only point in this Group from Bosnia and Herzegovina too. I’m happy to stay out of the match odds market here, and it was interesting to see the market really expecting goals here. I know Netherlands are sometimes involved in crazy games, but with such a big game I do expect the sides to be a little cagey here. I can’t see Hungary being too open in the first half to be honest, and Under 2.5 goals looks worth a small investment at 2.5.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Under 2.5 goals at 2.5 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
