OSASUNA V REAL MADRID

5.30pm The focus on Saturday from Europe on Betdaq Betting Exchange is on La Liga as Osasuna host Real Madrid! It’s been a superb week for Real Madrid, On Monday Barcelona lost away to Girona in the Catalan derby with Lamine Yamal missing a penalty and Fran Beltrán striking a late winner. That left Real top of La Liga by two points, and the momentum is firmly with Los Blancos now. Things are going in the right direction since they moved on from Xabi Alonso – it’s quite clear now that the players weren’t happy. An excellent coach, but just not the right fit for Real Madrid where player power does control things.

Straight after Monday’s result, Real won a tricky tie in the Champions League away to Jose Mourinho’s Benfica. After scoring, Vinicius accused a Benfica player of racial abuse, bringing the game to a halt for ten minutes while the referee consulted UEFA protocols. It was an ugly night in Lisbon – the atmosphere will be very tense when the sides meet again in Madrid, but it was an important result for Real. It’s no surprise that Real Madrid come into the game as the odds on favourites. Real are trading 1.73 with Osasuna 5.2 and the draw is 4.2 at the time of writing.

Osasuna are your classic mid-table La Liga side, and while Real will have to work hard to win, I was a little surprised to see them trading as big as 1.73 when I clicked into the market. Real Madrid have the second best attacking figure in La Liga with an average xG created of 2.14 – only Barcelona are ahead of them on 2.27. They’ve been creating chances for fun all season, and their defensive numbers are equally impressive – an average xG conceded of 1.13 is the second best defensive figure. When you compare the figures it’s night and day here to be honest. Osasuna have an average xG created is 1.23 which is basically mid-to-low table level in La Liga – pretty average to be honest and nothing Real will be afraid of.

Osasuna are also leaking plenty of chances at their back – their average xG conceded of 1.51 is in the bottom seven defensive figures in the league. Not exactly the figure you want to have when facing an in-form Real Madrid side, buzzing with confidence too now they’ve got their way with the Alonso situation. Osasuna have been grinding out results recently – they are unbeaten in their last five La Liga games. You could probably say that they are in their best form of the season coming into this fixture in fairness; however I still feel that the 1.73 is a shade too big on Real. Osasuna are playing average football, and Real are flying at the moment so I’d have them shorter than 1.73. Obviously I do acknowledge the Osasuna run, so I’m going to reduce stakes a little but I’m still happy with a confident bet on Real.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Real Madrid to beat Osasuna at 1.73 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
